These chess pieces are beautiful and bright and vibrant. They are very sturdy but also nice to look at. And they come with an extra queen as well. Great buy and value!

I like that they came in unique fun colors, as we were buying company colors for an office set. I like that they are the tournament Staunton size and design (which is NOT the same as Staunton). But after having spent all my life with triple weighted sets, I hate that these are unweighted, as they get knocked over all too easily on every turn and being a cheaper plastic, causes chips in the piece as well as having to reset the piece on the board or the others it knocked over on its way down. If you carefully peel back the felt, you will find that they are hollow, so plan to add some weight yourself (BBs held in with a hot glue plug is what I plan to try).

The chess pieces are as colorful as the pictures, purple and pink. Waiting on the board to arrive, which is pink, so we can learn to play. This is for my granddaughter.

Love these for our blue and white living room. Kid's love the board and the pieces!

Red is dull and matte, not glossy and vibrant as pictured. But it still does the job. Also larger than expected, but otherwise not bad.
