When I realized that the nut on the end of my oil filter stripped as I tried to remove, I tried a ton of other ways to get the filter out. Bought a few different types of oil filter wrenches, tried vice grips, tried the old screwdriver through the filter; nothing worked and the placement of the oil filter made it really tough to get in close. I spent hours trying to get this filter off and figured I would just have to have the car towed (since I put a hole in the filter) and have a mechanic get it out.That night I remembered I had an extractor set like this one, but the sizes were too small for the nut on the top of this filter. Found that I needed a 25mm which was included in this set.Received this set overnight (awesome!) and when I turned the filter, it latched on and old took a minute to finally remove. The money spent was totally worth the savings of having to tow the car and pay someone else to remove the filter.All these extractors are on the large side, so make sure you know exactly the size bolt or nut you are trying to remove before you purchase.

Worked great on stripped wheel locks. Hammered on the fourth on, slightly and was done in minutes. Great addition to the tool box.

Bought this to get the rounded off swollen lug nuts off my 2015 Ford Escape. I twisted it on as tight as I could by hand, gave it a few love taps with a hammer, then took the nuts off with an impact wrench. Worked perfectly the first time on 3 different lug nuts. Super convenient to have the punch out pin too because the old lug nuts got stuck in but they were easily knocked out. I wish these were a little cheaper but they definitely did the trick!

Worked great to remove a broken locking lug nut. Saved me from drilling the wheel stud!

It goes up to 27 mm which is very hard to find and the quality of the tool is not bad.

I needed a breaker bar but that nut tapped out.

So the crummy two piece style lug nuts on my 2008 ram started to swell and separate when I tried to take them off for maintenance. I guess it's good they lasted this long...anyhow, I rounded off and chewed up the first nut and nothing would get it off.Bought this kit, lightly hammered the 22mm on and the cap twisted right off. Then I was able to grab a normal socket and take off the actual nut. I replaced all the nuts with solid pieces. The kit knocked it out of the park!
