I bought these not realizing that they are precise for nitrates. I live in a farming community where there is a lot of fertilizer being used. Over 10ppm of Nitrates is hazardous to your health. The Strips first indicator square is zero and the next is 10. I really have no idea what level our nitrates are in the water unless they are zero or above 10. Below a 3 is usually ok so it's pretty useless for reading Nitrates.

Product worked exactly as planned and showed terrifying results for nitrate levels here in Des Moines, IA. One thing of note is that this test only tests NO3 and all regulations and most testing on water that is reported on is measured in NO3-N. The color guide on the bottle notes up to 10ppm as being the regulated limit which is true but it is 10ppm of NO3-N not simply NO3 that this test checks for. To convert it to NO3-N just multiply your result number by 0.2259 and that is what your reading will be in relation to the federally regulated limit of 10ppm. OR just set the standard green bar on the bottle to read up to 44ppm as 10 x 4.4268 is 44.268. My tap water was still alarmingly high at just over 18ppm but still not as alarming as 80ppm 😅

I like the full set of parameters that it measures. I take pH readings with a separate test and they align with this one so that's a good sign that the it's fairly accurate. I use this for hydroponics to test my water quality without having to go through an expensive lab test.

J’ai acheté ce produit pour tester l’eau du robinet….. et il fait ce qu’il à a faire. Pour être sur il faudrait comparer avec une analyse d’eau externe.

Liked the product but wish it would have broke down the data a bit further in regards to lead.

I ordered this Water Testing Kit because I live in an asbestos laden building which is pretty old, and of course I question the water quality. I tested and nothing tested out of range. Then, my daughter tested her water in her newer home, and also my brother tested his in a 130 year old building which needs every upgrade possible. Every one of us got the exact same results, and nothing was detected? We should all be happy I know, but I can't help but question the accuracy now.
