FINALLY a DVD for us 3&4 year fans!
This DVD was EXACTLY what I was looking for! Finally a GLOW release on some of the girls I remember as a kid! I had never seen seasons 1&2 growing up so when I bought the earlier shows I was disapointed! It seemed like a completly differn't show then what I had remembered! If you are a season 3&4 year fan this DVD is for you! You can't complain about something that has not been altered in anyway! What you saw as a kid is what you get on this one! I would have given it 10 stars! Way to go Babe/Ursula you are the living Barbie Doll I remember! Thanks and keep season 3&4 alive! FOREVER!Sincerely,Paul Jones

Gift purchase
This was a gift purchase last christmas and my granddaughter loved it. She went through quite a long phase of wanting to be a female wrestler and although THAT is finally over, she still likes to watch this DVD

It's a Huge Disappointment, Ursula
Ursula Hayden (who played Babe the Farmer's Daughter) has purchased the rights to the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling and is trying to revive the franchise. As a huge fan of the show, I thought this was good news. However, based on this DVD I'm not gonna hold out much hope for its return:Dear Ursula (because I know she's going to be reading these reviews), If you want to revive interest in GLOW, this isn't the way to do it. You don't start by lying to the small band of hardcore fans that kept interest in the show alive. This is not "The Very Best of Glow." You really ought to have called it "Some Random Episode from Season Four"! It is not two hours long. Even with the "bonus" matches in the "features" section it clocks in at under an hour. It shows a pretty blatant disregard for the fans, if you ask me. And Season Four? I know that these were your years on the show, but these were the episodes that killed the series! Market shows from Seasons One and Two, focus on the wrestling, lose the campy comedy bits, and drop any episode with the annoying commentary from Motor Mouth Morgan. Do that and you'll be golden. Thanks for listening, A rabid GLOW fan (Ashley Cartier rules!!!)

GLOWING DISAPPOINTMENT
I just received the GLOW: 20th Anniversary DVD in the mail today and I am VERY disappointed. I watched GLOW from seasons 1-4 and was thrilled when rumors started up sveral years ago about a new GLOW series. I think the fans deserved a better anniversary DVD than the one released. Basically it's a DVD of one episode from season 4, I think. Nothing new here. I thought an anniversary DVD would be packed with clips, interviews, etc. Unless you don't have copies of season 4 on VHS somewhere, don't order this. It's not worth it. Hopefully...GLOW will be released the way it should be in a season format (GLOW: Season 1 for $60.00 or whatever, featuring all episodes from each season). I know that fans would pay for them...especially seasons 1 & 2. What a truly nice and respectful way this idea would be to honor true GLOW fans. Please stop insulting our intelligence with low-rate DVDs of a show we once loved. Give us what we want...what we deserve!

The Best of GLOW??? Hardly...
"Best of Glow" sounds like the ultimate fan's dream but this dvd is far from it. Unfortunately whoever put this dvd together probably didn't know a thing about the show or consult any fans whatsoever. The main feature of this dvd is one complete 40 plus minute episode with Steve Blance's opening office skit when he was "commissioner", opening show theme, matches, skits, etc... from the show's fourth and final televised season. The "rare" bonus matches are also from that same era which is post- David McLane: Thunderbolt and Lightning vs Broadway Rose & Hollywood and a handicap match with Star and The Widow vs Mt. Fiji. These matches are FAR from being the best.In all, the total running time of the dvd is barely an hour contrary to the description here labeling this as a 2 hour dvd. Here's what's lacking. 1) There's no update on any of the GLOW girls. They could have done a "where are they now" and interviewed some of them. 2) They didn't showcase anything or anyone from the first two seasons (however there are 2 matches from Season 2 on the Volume 2 Best of dvd). 3) They didn't bother making any compilations of skits, rap intros, matches...nothing. 4) Susie Spirit breaking her arm was certainly a moment GLOW fans won't forget 5) The GLOW games of Summer 6) It's missing the music videos "Nasty & Mean" and "Good Girls Don't" 7) No one from behind the scenes was interviewed in terms of talking about the impact GLOW had on women's wrestling back in the 80s 8) No coverage of David McLane leaving the show along with several other GLOW stars...and the list goes on and on about what this dvd lacks. The only small feature thats also on the dvd that I didn't mention is a scrapbook which is nothing more than old articles and photographs taken from the official GLOW magazines that were released back when the show was still on the air. I can only hope maybe Vince McMahon will buy the rights to this series and put out a decent DVD collection to truly represent The Best of GLOW. Having said all this I still recommend the true GLOW fans buy these dvds in hopes that maybe they'll see that the sales are strong enough to actually produce season sets and maybe get some of those extra special features. By the way those bonus matches on Volume 2 are: 6 girl tag team match with Tina (aka WWE's Ivory), Ashley, and Little Fiji vs Angel, Hollywood and Vine with match commentary by Sir Miles Headlock and Ninotchka. The other match is an awesome submission match between Tina Ferrari and Attache with commentary by Hollywood and Sir Miles Headlock.
