For context, we, as a family, focus on reducing waste. We maximize the use of space and household objects.This frame helps us accomplish this with the main family table. Instead of having a single function, we now have a table that goes from countertop heigh to give us extra space for weekend family cooking sprees to a dinning table so we can all sit down, to a bar height for drinks with visiting friends to coffee table height for board games by the couch.The frame is amazingly smooth and sturdy. We haven't had any issues in almost a year of daily use. The powerful motors easily and silently lift the large and heavy tabletop laden with dishes or books. The casters allow us to roll it around the room without any loose movements. It remains sturdy and reliable.

Been using this desk for about 6 months now and I highly recommend it if you are making your own desktop. The desk can fully sustain my body weight even with my desktop and 2 monitors on it and still move without any issues. The desk frame allows for large and spacious tabletops, however it can't fit small tabletops on it on account of the width of the frame which is 27" wide. While the desk is easy to assemble upside down, you do need the help of another person in order to flip it over as the last step in the assembly process. The desk can go higher than anyone realistically will need, while the lowest setting might be too high for someone who uses a shorter chair compared to my office chair. I haven't had any issues since assembling it, as the desk is quite sturdy and doesn't easily shake. You should definitely keep the instructions around (I keep mine tucked under the control unit under the desk) as the controller for it doesn't make it very intuitive on how to set the heights. In addition, in order to make it go to a preset height, you have to press the button twice which protects against accidental button presses. Overall, it does everything you expect a standing desk to be able to do.For my butcher block I used an 39" by 6ft acacia butcher block with expresso stain and sealed with polyurethane clear coat.

It's my 3rd frame and finally got one as sturdy and durable as I need. It's not as nimble as my 2 other frames but yet again, my other 2 can't hold my setup. If you're looking for a heavy duty weight bearing frame... This will do it!

Expensive but if you want an adjustable desk or work bench that is stable and storng, this is it!Beautifully constructed of heavy gauge metal.
