A: no poly 80 is not a preservative it is an emulsifier.

A: Hello, yes this is 100% pure polysorbate 80.

**Q: I heard this can reverse hair loss.  True or False?**
A: It may be folklore, but it seems to have slowed my male pattern balding to almost a standstill.  It did not reverse it, but I still have most of my hair after using polysorbate 80 for about 30 years or so.  I rub some on my hair every morning about 10 minutes  before I shower.

A: Polysorbate 80 is soluble in alcohol and water; insoluble in oils. Polysorbate 80 is used in recipes for lotions, body washes, hair creams, lip gloss, scrubs, dispersing bath oils, conditioners, bath bombs, shampoos, and body sprays/linen sprays.
