Review: I Love It! - I got this to go with my built-in Bontrager Duotrap S cadence and speed sensors. I got tired of mounting my phone on my handlebars just to see my speed, and this fit the bill. I also bought the separate out front mount because it looks a lot better than mounting directly on the bars. So far, it works great. In addition to displaying my speed, distance, cadence, it also shows temperature, time, and % of grade you're riding on. It will show this info as current, max, and average-- you can choose on the fly. Also, of course, it saves a map of where you've ridden, but you can't see the map on the unit. All of this gets saved in a standard *.fit file (if you initiate recording at the start of the ride) which can be uploaded to sites like Strava where all the data including a map of your ride is available for analysis. I am also thinking about buying the $38 heart rate monitor... this will also get saved in the .fit file and appear on Strava. If you don't initiate recording on the unit, it will work as a simple instrument cluster ... it shows all the data while you ride, but there's no data to analyze later. There are two ways to sync with Strava. You can plug the thing into your computer via USB (which you need to do occasionally to charge it anyway). When you do that, it appears as a USB drive with the files in it... you can then upload the files manually to the Strava website. (The Strava website has an "upload activity" function). The other way is to connect the unit to your phone via Bluetooth. Doing this requires you to install the iGPSport app. You then cause the app to sync the files with the phone, and then the app on the phone automatically uploads the files to Strava. This may be the slicker way to get your rides uploaded for analysis, except that the app requires you to go through a search/connection process every. single. time. So it's clunky and a bit dumb-- but, on the other hand, the unit will save many day's worth of files, so you don't have to do this all that often. I'd say it's not a big deal. But I do hope iGPSport makes their iPhone app a little smarter. As for build quality, the unit seems very solid and professional. I have no doubt that the claimed waterproofness is accurate. Since the price is so much lower than the name brands, you might expect to get something that is a little toy-like or cheap. It's not. This thing feels great in the hand. Visibility is also great. I ride with glasses on, and the glasses make reading things close to me difficult. But I have no problem reading this. Ultimately, I'm very satisfied. I wasn't sure because there are few reviews, and very few Youtube videos in English. I can tell you that this is the real deal, not a cheap piece of disposable junk, and I'm pretty sure that as long as you have the ANT+ sensors to go with this thing, you'll be happy with it. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll answer if I can. Edit #2: Taking off a star because the unit froze 2.5 miles into my commute this morning. This makes the thing dead weight... worse than useless. If it keeps freezing, I'll be back. But I hope it was a one time thing. Edit #3 I'm putting that star back on. Whatever happened that time never happened again. I have now ridden 500 miles with it. I love how it knows if it's dark out and automagically turns on the discreet but functional back light. At this point, I don't regret at all not buying a more expensive name brand unit. This thing works great. It never fails to pick up my sensors... speed, cadence, and heart rate. The thermometer seems accurate enough and it's great to have that data with the ride. I don't have power meters, but I have no doubt they would work fine with this. This is one of those rare things where I took the inexpensive route and don't regret it for a second. Edit #4. THEY FIXED THE APP! The app (at least on iPhone-- I don't have Android) now makes sense and syncs effortlessly. Major update, Way to go IGPSport!
Review: Quit working after 4 rides and iGPSPORT support will not respond to repeated emails. - Received this unit as a Christmas gift and started using it the first week of January. The unit functioned as advertised the first 3 times it was used. On the 4th time the distance and timer stopped functioning. On the 5th ride the lap would not change and ascent indicator and backlight stoppedworking. The only thing that worked was the speed and gradient. Even a factory reset did not help. Contacted desertcart support and they told me to contact iGPSPORT support. An email was sent to iGPSPORT support and they requested screen shots of the display. I created a video while riding and cycling through the displays showing what was not working and sent it to support. A second email with the video attached was sent a few days later after no response from the company and a follow up email was sent a couple of days later. At this time I have not received a response. After 2 weeks I contacted desertcart support and requested a full refund for the unit. If you are looking for a reliable cycling computer this is probably not the one for you. The company does not support their product after the sale.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great bike computer for under 100 dollars!
*by B***K on June 11, 2020*

I have used this for over 1 year and approx 2,000 miles. I have used it for both road and mountain biking. I feel this probably the best cycling computer for less than 100 dollars. Pros 1. Battery life is far greater than 20 hours. There is nothing better than completing a 5 hour bike ride to find that the battery is still near fully charged. Bravo! I have accidentally left the unit on overnight and it still was able to record a 4 plus hour ride the next day with only 1 bar reading on the computer. 2. The IGPSPORT app has been greatly improved. When I first used it the miles on the IGPSport50e would be changed to kilometers on the app. On the original app I tried to change it to Miles and ended up converting to Japanese and with the entire app in Japanese I could not figure out how to change it back. So I had to delete it with all the ride info. Now just go into settings in the app and change from metric to imperial. 3. Ride memory is fantastic. When the above old app failed I was unable to download my rides for months. When I got the updated app the computer downloaded over 20 rides. 4. The automatic back light is not used to often by me but in the dark but I have and it is quite visible without being obnoxious. 5. Durability has been fantastic for me with over 600 miles of mountain bike riding including one bad flip and landing 5 feet upside down on a boulder. 2 months later and I am still hurting and the IGPSport 50e is still working. 6. The mapping of the rides on the app is excellent. Minor cons 1. The % grade is a little slow to respond and is usually about 1 second behind what is actually happening 2. The app transfer of rides is slow. A seventy mile ride will take several minutes but a graph shows how fast it is loading. 3. To get the app to load you rides does require some input. On my IPAD the home screen shows a picture of the 50e computer and will show if it is connected. (after a ride you must turn it off to save the ride) If not connected you must turn it on. Sometimes I have to turn the app off and back on to recognize the 50e. Then tap on the orange bar with the picture of the 50e. This will open the next screen and the top line 'Upload' Tap on upload. This will open a third screen and on the top right will show 'Upload' tap on the upload here and your ride or rides will upload. When done uploading go back 2 screens and all you rides are present. Click on one and it will open with a map of your ride. You can easily expand the map of your ride to the entire screen. 4. The app likes to break up your ride into laps where none existed but the totals are all present. 5. Because the GPS sensor is a little slow if you closely look at your expanded map if you were on a winding trail you will see it makes shortcuts when on hair pin turns which I consider very minor. Summary. Fabulous bike computer for < 100 dollars. The cons of the GPS sensor and downloads being slightly slow are minor complaints. I am already eying up the newer version that has the map display on the computer but I am in no rush because this one works fine.
