Kichwit Extra Large Stainless Steel Open Cat Litter Box

game changer!!! love design, sturdiness, size (XL), easy to scoop waste, easy clean up. my cat had no issues with change from plastic to stainless steel...so WIN-WIN!!!!! it has significantly reduced the odor that goes with the standard plastic litter boxes. wish someone had come up with this years ago!! super happy with my decision to change to this-never going back to plastic. price was good as well. highly recommend!

I love that this litter box is so large for my big cats. I would say that I love the upgrade from plastic to stainless steel. I had litter sticking to the bottom once when litter levels were a little low and all I had to do is let the pan soak for a little bit and everything came right off. I appreciate that stainless steel doesn’t get scratched, unlike plastic pans, and is less likely to harbor bacteria in those scratches. Also, this pan doesn’t hold on to odor since it’s stainless steel. Please note that this pan requires a decent amount of litter in order to fill it to an adequate level since it is so large. I haven’t noticed any rust so far. I feel that this purchase was a good value for the size of the litter pan. Pros: - easy to clean - big enough for large cats - doesn’t scratch - resists odors Cons: - not a low entry litter pan for older/small cats

I love these litter pans. The extra-large size fits our ample size adult cats as well as out younger ones (no more hinies hanging over the side and missing). Scooping doesn't scratch up the bottom. Cleaning is a breeze just, dump the old litter and use a hose, easy peasy.

Amazing large box with decently high sides. My cat had no problem getting used to it. But that's not even the best part... Litter doesn't stick to the box, making it easier to clean. Also, the box doesn't scratch from my cat's claws or the litter scooper, keeping pesky bacteria out of the bottom of the box and keeping it smelling like it's not even there! As long as I'm cleaning the box at least weekly (of course, more often is better), I can't smell a thing! I've never loved a litter box as much as I love this stainless steel wonder. My cat is super happy with it and I love that I don't even notice there's a litter box in my house because there is NO SMELL!!!

Easy to clean and doesn’t get as gross over time as previous plastic option. Nice and big, my cat has a fat butt so she needs room to tear it up. Enough space for that dump truck and for her to have a litter party then blast off into zoom craze.

Apparently, it’s easy for this litter box to receive dents in its corners while on its way, but thankfully, we didn’t let this stop us from returning and reordering another one to try out that had no dents. We LOVE the nice large size and depth to this litter box we purchased and our kitties seem to love the extra room as well. It was determined that the litter (non clumping and low dust) still significantly stuck to the bottom of this type of litter box, but our litter box plastic liner bags fit WAY better so changing the litter is much easier. Clearly we won’t know if they would have rusted or not. Obviously we were hoping to no longer have to use the litter box liners and one of the big reasons for purchasing this type, but it was WAY too much work to clean after each litter box change. The litter still really stuck to the bottom of the litter boxes. We loved the first litter box we received (that wasn’t dented in) especially due to the size and sturdiness, so we purchased a second one that sits right next to the other litter box and this works SO much better than what we were using before! Our kitties seem really pleased with the new litter box set up. I did make sure to run my hand carefully along the edge of each litter box to be certain neither litter box had a sharp edge that could cut into our fingers, and thankfully both were very smooth. Several people had mentioned that if you tried a magnet on a true stainless steel box, it would stick well to the side. I did try this, but the magnet only halfway stuck to the side. Just FYI. I spent a good bit of time researching and reading a zillion reviews, and was just more drawn to this brand. It was a little less pricey than some, but maybe that also is why the litter still sticks to the bottom of the litter boxes? I should mention we have 2 blue point Himalayan male (almost grown) kittens and one 17 year old domestic shorthair female, but we make sure to change both boxes often. I’m curious that if in the reviews, everyone shared what type of litter they use, that could potentially help everyone determine if the type of litter plays a big role in litter sticking to the bottom of these litter boxes. As mentioned above, we use non clumping low dust litter.

Great litter box. Easy to clean, but also does keep odors to a minimum. I have 3 automatic litter boxes and you can tell from 2 rooms away when a cat has done a #2, but not in this one. I bought this for our XL kitty since his butt would hang over the end of the litter boxes and, well you get the idea. So great for bigger (longer) kitties too.

This is exactly what I wanted. Not for a cat but for my dog. We have to soak her paws 3 times a week. Allergies. It’s tall enough for her leg to be covered. The quality is above what I expected. Fits in our tub perfectly and doesn’t get stained with the blue juice we use from the Vet. Great price on Cyber Monday.

I have ordered 3 of these boxes now. I have had them for 6 weeks and have had no issues. They are easy to scoop and easy to clean, I just empty and spray a cleaner on and wipe it off. The size is excellent, I have 9 cats using these and there is plenty of room for scratching and moving around in them. I place the litter boxes inside the Amazon boxes to control scatter of the litter and to store the scoop. I will likely order a couple more as needed.

I've had cats most of my life and always had a plastic litter box. Why? WHY? After trying stainless I'll never go back to plastic. Cat is much happier, no annoying bag in the pan. Cleans quite easy. I'm happy.
