great item, I got these to sort older small coins, and they were perfect.

Can’t recommend
I really wanted to like these to hold some small items in my backpack that I felt more comfortable having in a case rather than a bag. These are thinner than other containers on the market. For reference, the tiny SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive USB Type-C and the mini SAK classic both fit in it but you can’t put even a piece of paper under them. The Cold Steel micro recon 1, a very popular micro (!) knife, does not although it does fit in another brand’s small hinged container. I made the mistake of putting the SAK classic in it with a single piece of paper under it. It was a tight close but I didn’t care as this was going in the bottom of a backup kit. Over the course of a couple of weeks the lid warped and now it won’t stay closed. Also, the slightest amount of pressure dents the lid, thus ruining the purpose of using this to protect some items in a bag. So, I can’t recommend these unless you plan to have ridiculously thin items in them and have them sit on a shelf or in a very organized drawer. Maybe using them for lip balm or a wax but these have no waterproof capabilities so warm weather use would be ill-advised unless you wanted melted wax in your pocket.

bought it for something and it did that something
bought it to make and store dry rations. It stores the dry rations so yeah did exactly what i bought it for and didnt rust in the dishwasher.

Perfect tins
I use these for scent dog training and they work great. Perfect size for my need and at a reasonable price. I will purchase again and recommend to others.
