I bought this book for my adult daughter but read it while she was visiting for Christmas. The tree houses in it are unbelievable some costing as much as $60,000 and are more "cabin in the woods" than what one would traditionally think of when they hear tree house. The book provides beautiful photographs of the interior and well as outside views. This book really sparks your imagination and will provide ideas for your home as well as anything you might construct outside. It's much more of book of beautiful architect than what you expect from the title. It's a very interesting book and worth the price. Great addition to your library and for providing creative ideas that might be used in your home.

We all need one---a nice tree house, that is. One of the many books on the subject, this one seems to concentrate on the highly professionally designed and costly creations. A good source of ideas for the average tree house fan, it might be a source of greater inspiration for those able to afford the services of the sprinkle of international tree house designers featured.

This is a book for curling up and dreaming with. You will need strong wrists just to pick it up--- its humungous!--- and you'll not want real life to interfere once you start turning the pages. Its an expensive treat, but just say no to that overpriced box of luxury chocolates, and buy this instead: guaranteed to give the same rush as the richest dark chocs! Amazing treehouse designs, fabulous illustrations and photographs, lots & lots of them. The way to make this book better? Curl up and share with someone you love--- friend, child, partner, neighbor--- and dream together.

This book contains photos of tree houses from all over the world and they are of various sizes and designs. I'd have preferred to see some basic drawings of the structures, but mostly you can get an idea of that from the photos.

Yes, this book is expensive, but isn't everything these days? And yes, it is quite heavy, but that equates to the amount of excitement you'll get when this comes through the post in a huge box. I bought the book because striking visuals are the primary inspiration for my filmmaking, and the cover alone gave me a lot of ideas when I saw it in a bookshop. You can flick through marvelling at the craftmanship of the houses, the simplicity of the book design (as with all by this publisher), the pure magical depth of each image.I agree that perhaps it isn't the most detailed if you are looking for technical instructions of how to recreate each tree house yourself - if you want to try this, good for you. Go for it, what could be more wonderful of a summers day than building a tree house? - but I was happy enough to get ideas of a different sort through the wonder I felt when reading.So if you're looking to be inspired and marvel at the creativity and awesomeness of humans, I'd say this book is for you.

Just a brief review to mention that I mainly bought this book for the photography and as such I cannot complain. However, a word of warning concerning the text. Whilst the sub-headings are in English the brief paragraph content below these is in 3 different languages, none of which are English. It seems you need to take care the edition you order if this forms a part of your needs. Apart from that it is a truly delightful book to lose yourself within.

So big and so far from the goal. No real houses on the trees. Only useless story and pics of something vague and similar. Useless book.

It is the size of an encylopedia!! Hilariously heavy but a good book and with inspiring layout and pictures. I bought it as a present
