Finally Found This
If you love the Brady Bunch, this 1988 Christmas reunion movie is a must-have. It had been impossible to find on dvd, blu-ray or streaming services (incl. Prime) for the past few years so it when showed up this year on Amazon in this 2017 dvd, I grabbed it. It was at a great price, too. "A Very Brady Christmas" is a delightfully corny and fun holiday movie. The only original cast members missing are Susan Olson as Cindy (played here by Jennifer Runyon) and Tiger the dog. But it still works. (The movie does not appear to have been released on blu-ray at this point.)

Family show for everybody to see
This is indeed a great show for the entire family to see, it really tells a great story even though the Brady kids are all grown up now they all manage along with their families to get all together once again for the Christmas Holidays, and also they enjoy each other and have fun even despite the problems each one is having and that they do overcome their problems and manage to enjoy the Holidays together as a big and happy family. Also when Mike Brady gets trapped in the rubble of a cave in of a building they all show faith by singing a beautiful Christmas carol altogether along with everybody else and Mike by a wonderful miracle comes out okay. And Alice gets her husband back and everything is doing quite well and they all are happy and really enjoy the Christmas Holidays together and prove that family is important no matter what happens in life. I really love this show and it truly is all about family and that family is indeed important to be with especially during the Holidays.

"A VERY BRADY CHRISTMAS TREAT"
When I read on "TVSHOWSONDVD.COM" on July 25, 2017 that this film was finally going to be released as an individual film from the "COMPLETE SERIES" I was very happy. Just like so many other "BRADY BUNCH FANS", I had already bought the entire series, by the Seasons. I didn't want to repurchase the Series to get the movie. Just like so many "Fans" I too bought this on VHS, which became available in "1993". I kept my copy for years, even after I somehow messed up part of the ending, after Santa Claus shows up. When "my last VCR" finally chewed up my precious copy of this movie, I was heartbroken. Every year I would look for it on DVD. Eventually I came acoss it's availability on THE COMPLETE SERIES, but it was after I tried to Communicate with BARRY WILLIAMS ON HIS WEBSITE. He had some sort of Q&A Section that Questions could be asked on. There was even a section that had Frequently asked Questions already posted and answered so that the "Fan" wouldn't waste their Question by asking one that had already been asked and answered. I asked about this movie possibly being placed on DVD soon. My Question was not answered, as far as I know, on the Website. I waited for awhile. Then after awhile, when there wasn't an answer to my Question, I didn't return anymore to the Website. As we all know, the Wonderful FLORENCE HENDERSON PASSED AWAY ON NOVEMBER 24, 2016. I wondered when this Movie became available, for this Christmas, was it because she had passed away. ANN B. DAVIS HAD PASSED AWAY ON JUNE 1, 2014. And ROBERT REED PASSED AWAY ON MAY 12, 1992. He unfortunately didn't live long enough to see this Movie come to VHS. The same thing happened to both Robert and Florence.I saw this Movie when it first aired on CBS. I remember it so well. It was on a DECEMBER 18, 1988, ON A SUNDAY NIGHT. It was exactly one week to CHRISTMAS DAY. According to Wikipedia it had a running time of 100 Minutes. But according to the New Packaging the running time is about 93 Minutes. But I can't tell if any of this movie has been edited from when I first saw it.All of THE BRADYS ARE REUNITED, EXCEPT FOR THE "ORIGINAL CINDY" because Susan Olsen was off on her HONEYMOON. Cindy was played by "Jennifer Runyon". I think this Movie was so successful because "THE BRADY BUNCH" were still so fresh in their Fans Minds and Hearts. It had been over 14 Years since "THE BRADY BUNCH" had gone out of Production. And all of the "Children" had grown up.The movie opens with "Mike and Carol" exercising away on their Exercise Bikes. They start teasing each other about the present that they intend to give to each other but neither will reveal what the other plans to give. They have a "VACATION ACCOUNT" that each plan to use without the other knowing about it. Mike wants to use the Account to treat CAROL to a trip to JAPAN. Carol wants to use the money to take Mike to GREECE.It becomes rather comical when Carol calls up the Kids, starting with Marsha first, then Greg, to tell each one of them about the trip. Mike then, after getting to his office dies the same thing, except he starts with Greg first, then Marsha. After there is a misunderstanding about the money "disappearing" from the Account, they both decided to buy Airline Tickets for all of the kids, plus their spouses and children, to come for CHRISTMAS.All of the "kids" have some sort of a situation interfering with their happiness during the HOLIDAY SEASON. Greg and Nora decided to visit separate relatives. Marsha and Wally are in trouble financially again because Wally was downsized. Peter is in love with his boss, who also makes more money than he does. Jan and Phillip is, or have separated. Bobby has dropped out of College and have become a Race Car Driver. And Cindy is upset because she wanted to go Skiing with her friends, but was "told to come home for CHRISTMAS". Plus Alice isn't exempt either as she and her Husband Sam has has left her for another woman. Allan Melvin does not return as Alice's Husband, though I wish he had. Instead "Sam" is played by "LEWIS ARQUETTE"In the meantime while Mike is trying to figure out where everybody is to sleep, he has another problem with a client, Ted Roberts, played by Phillip R. Allen, who wants him to not change the specifications on the structure that he's building. Mike drops him as a client, only to have to encounter him later for a different situation. After all of the arrangements are made to get everybody under one roof, Alice has to go and pick up most everybody. Soon they're having fun. They're decorating a Tree, and making ornaments. But then later everybody start to discuss what's going on with them, and no one can sleep. Soon everybody except Mike, Carol and Alice wind up in the Kitchen, consuming Alice Pies. The next morning Jan and Phillip are united when they tell Carol what is going on. They then make up.When they are getting ready to have Dinner, Mike gets an urgent Call from Ted Roberts, but not before Nora shows up. The building at the Construction Site has collapse, trapping 2 Security Guards. Mike feels obligated to go, which disappoints Carol and everyone else. When Mike gets trapped in the building that still has the Security Guards trapped, all of the rest of the family and a news crew arrive on the scene. Everybody gets really scared when the Guards get out but Mike is still trapped inside of the building. Cindy reminds Carol about the time when Carol lost her voice and Cindy asked Santa Claus for her voice back. Then they start singing "O' Come ALL YE Faithful". Then everybody starts to sing and miraculously Mike works his way out of the Collapse Structure.Everybody finally get to eat the Dinner, and confessions are made about what happened to the pies. "Santa" shows up. Except it's Sam in a "Santa Suit", begging Alice's forgiveness for his foolish folly. Everything is then fine and the entire cast sing: "WE Wish You A Merry Christmas". They seemed to be singing to the Viewing Audience. It was so wonderful to see what just about everybody looked like after 14 Years. And Bobby was no longer hiding his lighter hair underneath dark hair coloring. Of course the house was entirely different. The furniture and the furnishings were all modern. And Carol was into Real Estate. I read that Florence Henderson had begged them to let "Carol" have a job during the series. They wouldn't allow it. And it was almost risqué when Jan and Phillip were making up. And it was funny when Wally and Marsha were kissing at the Table. This is just a cute, funny, very watchable film. I too wish though that the transferring to DVD had been better, which is why I can only give it 4 Stars. But I'm just happy that it is finally available once again for all of the Fans to enjoy as much as we want to.
