Works fine for an inexpensive dashcam
I used this as a rear view dashcam to supplement a (more expensive but older) front dashcam (I was too cheap at the time to buy a device with front and rear cameras). It's small and unobtrusive, and was easy to set up over WiFi with a smartphone. It DOES NOT have a screen or ability to review video without a smartphone or PC, but I knew this going in. It works great for my application, and (obviously) functions totally independently of the front camera. I viewed some of the recorded videos (by removing the SD card and putting it in my PC) and found them to be of decent quality and sufficient for recording any rear end accidents. One minor annoyance is a happy female voice announcing "Hello Ding Ding Pie" whenever 12V powers on when the car is first started.

Works like a charm and its small flaws are passable due to its low price.
*Update 2019-03-08*. I've bought three of these in total for two other family members. The one that I initially bought still works great, and I noticed that the newer packaging is smaller and more efficient. The Youmera app works really well on my android, but the devs need to update the IOS version to add "auto wifi switching". Anyways, great lil product for the price (when it goes on sale for $30ish) I'm giving this Dashcam a 5 out of 5 since it has what I need for a really low price. I bought it on sale ($36) to replace my 3 year old and expensive ($275) BlackVue DR600GW-HD cause it stopped working a couple of days ago. The good: 1) The video quality is pretty good for its low price (1080p 30fps). It almost looks as good as my old BV DR600GW-HD, even at night. 2) The app that I'm using works pretty well (Youmera). 3) The screenshot & 10 sec video button works like a charm. It's one of my favorite features. The bad: (but passable due to its low price) 1) Video recordings files are saved at a set size (ex. 153mb per file) and not by time (1 min clips, etc.). 2) The video itself has a bit of a fisheye distortion, but it's not a big deal really. If it bugs you that much, go buy the more expensive version.

easy to use,
Functionality/Performance: 9/10 Ease of Use: 10/10 Installation: 10/10 Customer Support: 9/10 Overall Satisfaction: 9/10 Here's a breakdown of my reasoning: Functionality/Performance: It seems that the DDPai Dash Cam performs well, especially with its Emergency Accident Lock feature and 140 Wide Angle lens. However, you mentioned a minor issue with the camera, which slightly lowers this score. Overall, a score of 9 out of 10 seems appropriate. Ease of Use: Easy to install and use, which is a significant plus. Therefore, I would give this category a perfect score of 10 out of 10. Installation: The installation process is straightforward and easy to follow. Therefore, a score of 10 out of 10 seems fitting. Customer Support: You mentioned that you had an issue with the camera, but the support team was able to help you through email. Although the issue was resolved, the fact that you had an issue in the first place slightly lowers this score. Therefore, a score of 9 out of 10 seems appropriate. But support was excellent. Overall Satisfaction: Based on your review, it seems that you are satisfied with the DDPai Dash Cam. Therefore, a score of 9 out of 10 seems appropriate for this category. Overall, the DDPai Dash Cam seems like a solid choice for anyone in need of a reliable dash cam with helpful features and easy installation. and an excelent custommer suport.

Easy Install, solid product, great picture.
Let me preface this; I am in the Military and have been stationed around the states a good bit. The drivers in my current state are beyond anything I have ever seen, no turn signals, accelerating to FORCE their way into an exit and much much more. It is even worse when I ride my motorcycle. I bought this so my wife would have a little more piece of mind in her vehicle, she is a safe driver who literally almost wrecks everyday just because she is in a little white car, this is to prevent the stupid laws in the state where whoever rear ends the other is at fault by providing evidence of the true individual at fault. (ps. You can turn off the start up intro in the setting via your app)

Superb quality for a basic , entry level, screen less dashcam. I put a 128GB micro SD card and powered up on last generation MicroUSB cable. The DDpai app is easy to install and use . Through the app you can disable the annoying “ Hello Ding Ding Pai”. Power on announcement . Picture quality is great and audio quality is a bit muffled and poor . The car has to be on and the camera must have power in order to connect with WiFi if you want to download and video or snapshot files to your phone . Downloads are a bit slow , but the quality if good and the camera has a great wide angle view The best feature is that this uses a super capacitor to store and deliver power and that means it won’t necessarily die like the lithium polymer batteries used in most dashcam. This is a super feature when the camera gets old and remains usable

5 star for me as I got what I was looking for. First, I need usb output, dash cams with cig lighter outlet are useless for me as 2016+ models lighter power stays on. Next, lets accept it, suction does not work and dash cam falls, so I use adhesive ones only, this one had it. Also you can turn it to adjust as per your view. App is good, video in days is solid, will share nights video as well heard good things. Video clips are saving at 1min @1080 resolution and around 80mb, I was expecting 50mb but all good
