Have been renovating my friends office and there's been so many dings and holes in spaces that needed to be done up. And this powder is absolutely wonderful to mix up what you need at a time and to fill said holes. A dream to sand down and paint over. Fully recommend this for any DIY jobs that involve filling small or medium holes... 2 parts of the powder mixed with 1 part water and it mixes up to a nice creamy like state, great to get on to small nooks and crannys. I bought one box and it sorted out a hole in 2 doors, imperfections on the walls and edging a of a small office, as well as patching up a few holes across the living room and another room, but I do with I had bought 2 boxes at the time as I've noticed soany more areas in the house that could do with making good. I've not filled anything bigger than 4x4x0.5" but I presume if done in layers, it would be good for most things! The socket in the uploaded photo had to be filled quite a lot, the person who fitted the electrics was not handy with making the surrounding area good and looked absolutely shoddy, after a good go with the pollyfilla, it's looking absolutely wonderful, clean finish and now almost ready for the coats of paint. For the price it's such good value and buying an extra box for future 'just in cases' is a good idea. About to buy a couple boxes now to keep on the DIY journey! You can only fill a few millimetres at a time, otherwise it takes ages to dry & harden off, and may also crack if it shrinks. It might be better to use the ordinary Polyfilla for the bulk fill and then use the fine-surface one to finish off. I doubt if either would bond to the polystyrene. The hardened filler is only as strong as the material it is put into, so if the polystyrene flexes it would break away. It is mainly for wood, plaster and so on. Equally I can't think of anything else that might do the job, because the solvents in such materials as two-part polyester fillers could dissolve the foam. Might be worth doing a test patch first, where it doesn't show. Hope that helps. **Q: How long does it take to dry after you apply it?** A: Depending on the thickness and temperature in the room it will be touch dry after about 30 minutes.. I recommend leaving for 24 hours before sanding back to ensure it has cured fully. **Q: Will this work on uvpc window sill?** A: Basically, this is a fine grade of plaster filler intended for repairing cracks in plaster . It won't stick to plastic, although it could fill a gap between a plastic window sill and the adjacent plaster, but it isn't a flexible type of product.
