Simply the best!!
Wow!! This wax is phenomenal! Absolutely hands down the best product I have ever used on my hair! My brother first introduced me to it on a recent holiday, when he suggested that I try some before a night out. I’ve got to say I was literally blown away by how well it controlled my short, straight but very thick hair... and with only a tiny amount too. The great thing about Da’Wax is that it looks very natural in, providing excellent definition, separation and texture with absolutely unbelievable hold! Put it this way, even after sleeping on it and then swimming in the sea the next day (head under water) Da’Wax still held my hair almost perfectly in place... which is ridiculous! Not only does the hold last forever but it is also pretty easy to change to a new style very quickly just by brushing through with your fingers. It definitely has a matte finish to it and unlike other wax’s, does not feel sticky or greasy at all. It smells good too! Finally and remarkably, you only need to use a tiny pea sized amount to achieve this effect and so this nice new tub of mine is going to last me a long, long time! In fact in the long run I reckon it will actually work out cheaper than other brands that you would have to replace far more regularly. In summary this is by far the best product I have ever used on my hair (be it a wax, gel, spray or clay) as it’s the only one I’ve found that ticks all the boxes. I’ll never use anything else again now. Cheers Da’Dude! I’m really, really happy with it! Worth every penny, Thank you.

Win, win, win
I've been using this product for a few weeks now and there is no doubting how good this product is. I have used American Crew Fiber and hairspray to style my hair for the past few years and have always been on the lookout for a product that can make my hair look great, without the need for hairspray to hold my hair in place. But now I have finally found the Holy Grail of hair styling products. Here's why I feel that Da'Wax deserves 5 stars: 1) American Crew Fiber may be less than half the price of Da'Dude's Da'Wax, but now I only need to use half the amount of hair wax that I used to use each time I style my hair AND I no longer require hairspray to hold my hair in place. There is no denying that Da'Wax is an expensive product, but I am now actually saving money on hair products by using less wax and by avoiding the need to purchase hairspray. 2) On a similar note, I suffer from having oily skin, especially on my forehead. It's likely that using hairspray has been a contributing factor to this, but now I feel so much better not having to use hairspray, and therefore not having the oily film that hairspray produces on your hair and skin. 3) I have very straight, short hair of around 1" in length, which doubles to around 2" before I have it cut. I am able to create a great matte, textured hairstyle with Da'Wax which lasts throughout the day. Da'Wax is a strong wax, but by using small quantities of wax each time, there is plenty of opportunity to mould your hair into your desired look. The smell is great too. 4) It's obvious that a lot has gone into the design and manufacture of this product. While I do not necessarily pay too much attention to the packaging that my hair wax comes in, the bamboo tub that Da'Wax comes in is a really nice quality touch. It has been very easy giving this product 5 stars. Fantastic product.

A really great product
I have being using this product for about a week now and so far, I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed. My thought prior to buying this product was that it seemed a lot of money compared to some high street products. It did appear to be packaged nicely from the pictures but the reality is, it's the product inside that counts. The previous reviews seemed very positive, so I went for it and ordered a pot through Amazon Prime. The package turned up on time and on opening it I can tell you that the packaging is as good as it looks. The hessian bag and bamboo container look very smart and ooze quality. It also comes with a little instruction fold which reinforces that only a tiny amount is required and this was followed up by an email from the company with an attached pdf again saying that you should only use a tiny amount. I get the feeling they're trying to tell me something? On opening the product container there is a very satisfying wood on wood sound that continues the luxury feel to this product (I know a bit OCD). The product itself is a white paste with a very attractive smell, it's not that strong (it won't overpower your cologne) but I'm sure if someone got up close and personal they would detect it. Its very sticky to the touch and the tiny bit recommended didn't seem to spread very far as I rubbed it between my palms. I can see that at this stage it might be tempting to add a little more to make it easier to spread between your palms but resist! Don't do it! Remember the instructions. I waited till the next morning before using Da Wax and showered and washed my hair with shampoo (just head and shoulders, nothing special) I towel dried my hair. I suppose I should mention my hair type at this point, it's short, straight and quite fine and has a tendency to get greasy if not washed every day. So having towel dried my hair it was damp but not wet, I took a tiny amount and rubbed it quickly between my palms but also up through the base of my fingers (important detail). I then used both hands like giant afro combs and starting at the back of my hair combed my hair forward and up and then from the front backwards and up. This is where the product trapped between your fingers comes into contact with your hair. Immediately I used my hands to shape my hair into what is actually only a side-parting and that's it done. Now reading this you might be thinking that it took a long time but my guess is less than 5 seconds from having a dot of Da Wax on my finger, to completion. I have repeated this procedure for a week now with identical good results. Appearance-wise the product seems invisible on my hair and the only reason I know it's there is if I touch my hair, I can feel it. It also doesn't move for the whole of my day in the office. Is it worth it? Well after a week I am still using some of the product that's stuck to the inside of the lid and haven't actually started on the main product in the jar, so my guess is that using it 6 days a week it will probably last me a year. In my book that makes it good value. Does it do what they claim? Yes it's very strong which is why you really must use the tiniest amount Would I buy it again? Absolutely, for me it does what I want it to and I won't even have to think about buying it again till this time next year. Am I anything to do with the company? No, I paid for this with my hard earned cash. In fact before last week I hadn't even heard of the product. I've written a really positive review because, for me, it's a really good product.

Swedish Beard Glue - Five Stars
IKEA, ABBA, Spotify, Ulrika Jonsson and now Da Dude Da Wax, only great things come from Sweden! As per the pictures my hairstyle doesnt really require a styling product, however i do buy a lot of beard stuff and this always comes up in the search results so when it came up on a lightening deal i thought i would give it a go. Being honest i had perceived the price point as a little high, however as Angelika says of her product when you consider all of the pluses, its very keenly priced.. - Firstly the packaging, its super sleek and premium, it comes in a small bag from which a glass jar encased by bamboo is stored. Its nice and solid, the design is very pleasing on the eye and the lid screws off nice and easy without being loose or flimsy. Its nice enough to just stare at it a little before you open it. - The packaging is recyclable, which means young Greta wont be chewing her tongue off because its ended up in a Dolphin in the Arctic in ten years time. - The scent is, its not unpleasant, its not overly pleasant, its neutral, it does smell of something, im not sure what, it wouldnt be something i would want to eat but ive no problem putting into my beard. - Consistency wise its somewhere inbetween a matte clay and a wax with a bit of builders putty chucked in, its very malleable in your hand, do read the instructions as less really is more. I found initially that using Grape sized amounts for instance meant that my beard congealed together, you dont need to use a lot. - It is sticky and like almost every single product out there it will leave some residue on your fingers or hand, use sparingly and a quick rinse afterwards with warm water will ease it off in seconds. - I rub it in then brush through, then its just a case of leaving, and leaving, and leaving. It will hold all day, it really will. I do a bit of chin rubbing but not overly excessive and it still maintains a good hold. I have been putting a tiny bit of beard oil on top to keep my face moist but not a lot and at the end of the day ill wash it out with a beard or face wash, light oil before bed and repeat. - The finish is totally matte, no sheen or gloss, its nice not to go to work looking like an otter. - Ive had this a few weeks now, as said i had some concerns over the price, but you will be amazed at how long this will last if as per the instructions you use it sparingly, the tub is huge, the product is very strong, i predict this will last me twice as long as my current product at least, most likely longer as i am not currently adding during the day because hold has weakened. Given this then my repeat purchases will be reduced and therefore it is actually very good value. I dont have anything negative to say about this wax, id love a really nice cologne type scent to it, but thats not what its for and for the majority of users putting it in their head hair they would probably disagree, having a head that smells like Cool Water is just a bit weird. Buy some for your beard you wont be dissapointed, Five Stars!

Decent
It's an decent product. Worked well when I had my hair in a shorter undercut style, but once I changed to a medium/longish length it failed to work as well. It was this that I really brought it for, in order to find an all in one product to replace my Moose, V05 and Hairspray combo. I tired multiple application techniques. Using very small amounts looked natural but only held in place for a short period, as soon as humidity or wind hit, my hair fell apart. Reapplying did work up to a certain point but left my hair looking a tatty and a tad greasy. When I used a larger amount my hair couldn't really handle the weight and simply flopped. Also I found washing the product off difficult when using a large to moderate amount. Left hair feeling greasy even after a solid wash. In the end I began using a small amount topped off with some V05 Hairspray, this worked very well and held throughout the day, looked natural and needed no reapplication. But as this was the same routine I was using previously, only with V05 Wax, I failed to see the point in purchasing again. I now add some volume boosting moose and powder along with Wax and Hairspray. Tedious but it seems to have formed the perfect combo. Maybe looking to replace three products with one was a little over ambitious but given the rave reviews I thought I'd give it a try. My conclusion is that this Wax is a good product for those with simple hairstyle. As mentioned it worked well with my undercut when all was needed a tad of Wax to pull back the hair and hold it in place, but with a longer style which was in need of greater detailed styling it didn't live up to the hype. It did however work very well when combined with a hairspray, however there are many cheaper wax products that also preform this role. Aside from the beautiful packaging I personally didn't find anything special with this product. However given the vast amount of positive reviews I could put it down to my hair being too thick or the wrong style for this wax. No product is absolutely faultless.

It's good, but don't be misguided by over the top reviews
Before I start, let me just say this is a good product and it deserves the acclaim it is receiving! I so wanted to be able to give it 5*, but I just don't think it hits the heights (for me) that a lot of 5* reviewers have praised it for. I have waiting for at least a week of using this product before posting a review, so here it is: I, like a lot of others, have been through all sorts of hair product to try and find one that does what I want and give the hold and finish I dream of. When I first saw this product being advertised and the hype generated I was curious. I'm one of those that just seems to have one of those hair types that can't be satisfied (short-medium length and lifeless with no shape when washed). So I checked out the reviews, looked at some YouTube video reviews and took the plunge splashing out the £20 premium (although I'll talk more about the cost in a mo). Upon receipt of the product, as others have said, it looks as good as the pictures in terms of "out there" and quality design. The tub is a nice wood effect (it's not real wood) and the Hessian sack and thank you note is a nice touch. But this isn't what you're reading this review for if you're anything like me... The product itself; it's prided on the fact that you just need "a pea-sized amount" to cover your hair's requirements. That may be so for someone who has just had a short back and sides with a clean short finish on top, but you'll need at least 3 of these pea-sizes amounts for a good length of hair to achieve the style and hold you want. That being said, that's probably still less than you would use on a more inferior, cheap-end product. Plus, the tub is a filled 100ml so in essence you'd probably half or knock of a fiver of the cost in comparison to it's rivals which are 50ml and 80ml. Once you get your desired look, it does hold pretty well and it is a good looking matte finish. Though I don't find it to have this "super-glue" effect that I've seen a lot of reviewers rant about. It will last the best part of the day, and it can be reshaped quite well (which I find sometimes the most difficult thing to do with other products). It is a pleasant, clean smell, but it's not the best smelling wax I've ever had. No problem with washing it out or leaving an after-wash stickiness to your hands. All in all, this review might sound as if I'm being quite negative towards the product itself (I'm not), but I do just find it hard justifying the price for something that doesn't appear to be as revolutionary as everyone is claiming it to be. The real test I think will be how long the tub can last before I commit to buying another (to be fair, it's probably just over 9/10ths full still after a week's use, so it's looking good so far). I will say finally though it's good to see a company trying to do something different and hope that they do well. They obviously have a interest in their customer which is good to see. Though I would be disappointed if they hiked the price up again (I understand it used to be £15 not so long ago).

A quality investment for a long-lasting look
I don't usually review items, but with Da'Wax I felt I had to. Firstly from a customer's point of view, I thought it was a really nice touch to receive a pdf guide on the best ways to use the item and the signed note. As a customer I really appreciated it. In regards to the packaging I really love the wooden look of the cover - it really does standout from the rest of the things I use. In regards to the wax - when looking for a new wax brand to try what I wanted most out of it was something that wasn't greasy, has a strong hold and smelled nice at the end of it. I have to say that Da'Wax ticked all of those boxes for me. As someone with middle length hair on the top, I wasn't really sure if wax could do the job for me as I had been previously using gel but I took a shot (after reading some reviews) on Da'Wax. From the first test run and the multiple times I've used it since, I have to say I'm glad I took the risk. I used the amount recommended and was shocked to see how well my hair stood up with such a little amount and during the day, I was pleasantly happy to see how long my look lasted. During the first period of use I was out for around 11 hours and the look I created lasted the entire time which I was really happy about - especially when considering it was a windy day and I was out and about for most of it. What's more, at the end of the night the wax came off really easily, which I was really glad to see. I have to admit the price did initially worry me, but I'm glad to see that I've received plenty of quality from my investment so far.

Buy. Now.
People writing bad review are either unlucky with the untamable head of hair they've been born with or don't seem to get the point that this is a WAX. I have medium to thick hair. Every 2-3 weeks I have a skin fade with a cut on top so that it stays no more than about 6cm long at my fringe with a decreasing gradient towards my crown. Due to the nature of my work I am forced to get changed and wear and remove a hat multiple times per day. This stuff is actually magical. Using a pea sized (big pea) as suggested on the styling instructions it easily covers my head. If I find that I've missed a bit I simply dab a bit on one finger, rub between my finger tips and apply it to the bit I've missed. This wax is strong from the off, you can feel it thickening as you rub it between your palms. It holds my hair well and is very easy to restyle whenever I take my hat off, always providing hold in whatever position I've reset it to. Yes, during these summer months sweat does come in to play with weakening it's hold but short of dax wax I challenge you to name a single product that won't be affected by that. Fab product, a little pricey and maybe not as cost effective as advertised but I haven't had this for that long yet so I'm unsure as to what my usage will be. Finally, to everybody complaining that this makes your hair look greasy. You are either using far too much which would indeed give that appearance OR you are failing to understand that this is a WAX which by its very nature is a sort of emulsion and WAX IS SHINY!!! These guys have done an awesome job of taking the shine out and making it as matte as possible but it's a wax so you'll never get it 100% glint free. Buy this, if you're skeptical you won't be after you've used it. If it doesn't work - return it. Win/Win.
