Great quality, you get what you pay for.
Originally I thought this was a little bit overpriced, but with negative reviews on the cheaper alternatives I took the hit and ordered it. I am glad I did, it’s a great bit of kit. It’s constructed from robust and tough plastic, which once you work out how to remove the lens cover on your go pro, is easy to fit (it comes with instructions). The interchangeable doors (In total 2 Waterproof, 1 Skeleton) are easy to change over, they just fold down and pull off. The buttons are easily operated with one hand, and the screen detail is easy to see through the waterproof door, as long as there isn’t much sun glare. The reason for the three interchangeable doors: Waterproof 1 - for use so screen can be seen when using the GoPro Waterproof 2 - so a float can be mounted to the door (and not removed every time) Skeleton - so the touch screen can be operated when using the GoPro I am yet to test it underwater, but the ‘put paper towel in it and put it in the sink test’ worked! It hopefully will offer added protection when fitted to the mountain bike. It doesn’t add too much bulk either, and spending less than £50 to protect a camera that is much more expensive is surely worth it. I’ve have attached some extra photos of the bits I was unsure of...

A solid piece of gear!
When I first bought my gopro I didn't feel the need to buy a suit for it, since the camera is waterproof up to 10m, and since I didn't dive deep nor practiced though sports, I felt I did not need more gear. But it reached a time I did in fact, and at the time I saw this gopro super suit as too expensive and ended up buying a 3rd partie one for £12. It served its purpose of underwater casing and external protection. But yet again as I experienced more with the gopro I started buying underwater filters, and the very good ones have an attachment only for this super suit. Humm... I was thinking if it was really worth it, and as I started thinking more and more, I thought "screw it let's buy it since the price dropped to £35". So when I got it my inicial though was "wow.. This is really solid!!" yes, it's plastic but a very solid very well designed one! Nothing like the 3rd partie one!! And works beautifully! So, is it worth paying more for an authentic super suit? No doubt! This solid piece of gear will last you a long time!

Well known bit of gopro kit and glad I have one.
After spending that much on a camera it was a pain to spend another £50 on this but wouldn't risk a cheaper knock off (personal choice). I'm unlikely to go deeper than 10m but wanted the option and the increased ruggedness. The super suit is needed if you want to use different filters on the gopro. Buttons are easy to use and it comes with a full back door to completely seal the unit for diving and a skeleton back panel (has a hole/window) allowing access to the touch screen but I believe this compromises the waterproofing. When you update the firmware on your gopro you can use the buttons to cycle through the recording options via the front LCD screen so you can alter settings without removing the unit from the case. To put the camera in the case you need to remove the lens from the gopro! This is a bit tricky at first (pull and twist) but with a bit of practice becomes easier. Overall a well known bit of gopro kit and glad I have one.

Good case for your go pro for scuba diving
Happy with this! Couple of spare back doors included, which is a nice touch. One works without blocking the touch screen, three other keeps it water tight. My only concern is that I can see the case opposing against the screen when I'm about 20 metres under water. Hoping this doesn't damage the go pro but I guess they are meant to be tough! Much better value than my full sized camera system, that's for sure.

Genuine GoPro Super Suit
Recently received this from ShopVIP for a bargain price. I was a little worried that at such a good price the housing might not be genuine - but need not have worried, the housing arrived in genuine packaging and all components, labels and leaflet inside oozed GoPro quality. If your after GP Super Suit grab one of these bargains before they're all gone. The only negative is that you still have to remove the camera lens protection cover before it will fit in the housing - I would have thought by now GoPro's R&D would have re-jigged the housing design to allow the complete camera to fit inside - I don't like the idea of having to remove the waterproof lens protector every time I want to put it in the housing!

Official product and compatible with Hero 7 Black.
I haven't used/tested this properly yet but I can confirm for anyone interested that this is an official Go Pro product and it is compatible with the Hero 7 black. Like all their products it's well made and I feel the higher price is justified. Specifically for the Hero 7 Black you have to remove the lens in order for it to fit in the suit. I had fun and games trying to do this but once I removed it it fit perfectly. There was a helpful Youtube video with tips on how to remove the lens if its being difficult. Quality product. Happy days.

Good, rugged OEM case.
Great protective OEM case. Comes with various replacement back panels which can ben swapped depending on the requirements of the user, and the activity undertaken. Used this when ice climbing and it easily withstood a few knocks from falling ice. Can be a easily mounted and tethered to a helmet, or rucksack strap. I've not yet tested the waterproofing of the case. The silica gel packs are a good additional purchase for use with this. I did get a little condensation build top during a recent week of use. The case does add a little bulk to the ~camera, but that is a small price to pay for the extra level of protection this offers.

Thanks for this my GoPro has survived paintballs and Airsoft pellets. Cheap and good works just fine a little hard on the touch screen stuff but the Seals All good. And I can tell you it's waterproof no paint on the GoPro yet. Fits perfect on my GoPro Hero 7 so no complaints. It's sturdy and good but don't expect to use to touch screen anytime soon.

If you need the same great protection for your new Hero 5 as you have had with previous GoPro models, this is a definite buy. It is the same materials they have been using for years, and they work great. The housing comes with an open back door and two waterproof ones, which is nice in case an o-ring gets damaged on one of them. Also, compared to GoPro's other accessories, this is one of the most fairly priced, especially for what you're getting. One more thing to keep in mind is that the filter size for this case is different than the Hero 3+ or 4 housings (not sure about older models, but I would assume they are different as well), so if you have filters for those you will need to get new ones. The one thing that I didn't know before purchasing that I wish I did is that you actually have to remove the front glass panel from the Hero 5 before putting it into this case. This isn't a huge issue, but it is hard to get off and feels like you might break it if you're not careful. Also, that little glass panel is quite small and could be lost or damaged easily, so also be careful not to lose it (though they do sell replacements). So to conclude, this case is amazing. If you need better protection for your camera or need to go below 30 feet underwater, you should definitely get this. As long as you're careful with the Hero 5's front glass panel, you should be all set.

What's hard to figure out at first is that you have to remove the lens from your GoPro (Hero 5 black) first. Otherwise, the door won't close all the way. You can check this on youtube, though, and once you see it done, it's easy. After that, it definitely appears to be solidly water-tight. Looking forward to trying it on a dive next week.
