AC infinity has always had quality product, but sometimes they fall a bit short. This one works but has its limitations as far as what it can control. ACs always blow the unit and it’s useless. But it’s perfect for a small portable ceramic heater. It doesn’t deal with brightness so it’s only for on/off items. It’s sleek and small and just what the doctor ordered for those units that don’t necessarily connect to the AC ecosystem. Solid buy, if you know what you’re using it for!

They worked fine with my heaters but after the 30 day warranty runs out they went out lasted for about 3 to 4 months but both not working now after I but my air-conditioner to it 10000btu 115v/60hz total input current 9.2A the boxes are 1800w/15A output....so why they going bad when I connect my air-conditioner to them now I have no control boxes...

The Problem: High Inrush Current: Appliances with motors (like ACs) draw a significantly higher current for a brief moment when they start up (this is called "inrush current"). Adapter Limitations: The UIS adapter, essentially a smart relay in a plug format, may not be designed to consistently handle these high inrush currents or the continuous high load of these powerful devices. Potential Risks: Directly connecting these high-load devices to the UIS adapter could lead to: Adapter Failure/Burnout: The adapter's internal components could overheat and fail prematurely. Controller Damage: A failing adapter could potentially damage the connected AC Infinity Controller port. Fire Hazard: Overheating electrical components always carry a risk of fire. The SAFER Solution without burning your house down: Use a Contactor and Circuit Breaker! To safely control your high-power appliance using the AC Infinity system, you should use the UIS adapter only to control a contactor (a heavy-duty electrical relay). The contactor will handle the actual switching of the high power load. You also MUST include a dedicated circuit breaker for proper protection. How it Works: The AC Infinity Controller tells the UIS Adapter to turn ON or OFF. The UIS Adapter sends a small control signal (likely 120V AC) to the contactor's coil (A1/A2 terminals). This small signal energizes the contactor's coil, causing it to close its main power contacts (L1/T1, L2/T2, etc.). The high power for your appliance flows from your wall outlet, through the dedicated circuit breaker, through the contactor's main contacts, and finally to a dedicated outlet where your appliance is plugged in. When the UIS adapter turns OFF, the contactor coil de-energizes, its main contacts open, and the power to your appliance is cut. This setup isolates your sensitive controller and UIS adapter from the damaging high power and inrush current. What You Need (Typical US Components (im from austria, i dont know exactly) - ALWAYS verify for your specific appliance!): Contactor: Load Rating: Must be rated for your appliance's voltage (likely 120V AC, but check!) I have several I use this to connect my fertigation/drip setup, low wattage heater, pump on home made clone, etc to the AC Infinity 69pro+ controller. Initially seemed like overkill when the existing mechanical timer works well but this is infinitely easier/better/quicker to set repeating cycles and make subsequent adjustments. Also it fits nicely on the power strip where other timers consume a lot of space. Not so good for variable schedules because AC Infinity’s controllers are particularly dumb with scheduling logic. I dislike that UIS connection comes out the side as can interfere with other items on power strip but not horrible if it happens to come with L shaped cable end- not all do. This week was tracking down anomalously high tent temperature and horrified to find that the cube I control light cycles with was stuck “on” for a couple days. Second time this has happened each time after changing timing via the controller screen. Easily dealt with by power cycling the cube and I’m thinking a power cycle after any parameter change might be a good idea but dropped rating a notch. Automation is wonderful but needs to be bulletproof!

I was little scared to try it with one of my lights, in fact it took me a week to get the courage to set it up…presto worked out of the box, I’m beside myself with this new amazing technology, my light I’m using it with is the Viparspectra XS2000, set it up last night and crossed fingers, hate to have to get up at six every morning to turn it all on, so once I figure it all out, got to laugh, I’m technology stupid…but in time I get things working…I know someone will say why not use a timer, well I tried 3 different types, and couldn’t understand the instructions, see what I mean….so now that I found AC Infinity that’s all I need…no more garbage..and thank you 🙏🏽
