A well constructed CO monitor and alarm, discreet size (about the size of a cigarette packet), really easy to fix to a wall - screws and rawl plugs are included. When the backplate is fixed to the wall, the unit slides on and off seamlessly for battery changing. Comes with good quality (3 x AA) long life batteries. This monitor can also be freestanding near a portable appliance. A twenty-three page booklet fully explains safety information in a user friendly, easy to read and understand format. Instructions on how to install and set up are simple (even I could understand them); recommended locations; how to use the alarm. It explains the symptoms of exposure to carbon monoxide and at what levels it becomes increasingly more toxic. The alarm will sound if monoxide levels rise over 50 parts per million, even though most humans won't notice any symptoms of toxicity until 100 parts per million (slight headache) with prolonged exposure. Higher levels of monoxide (300ppm and above), enough to cause dizziness and headache with prolonged exposure, the monitor's alarm will have sounded within three minutes, so that's pretty good to know. The alarm is a loud 85 decibel 'pulse' of 4 beats, repeating, with a red flashing LED. Instructions on 'what to do' are clear. There's also a comprehensive 'Troubleshooting' guide. This model is fully compliant with requirements for domestic premises and has a ten-year lifespan. The monitor even tells you when it's time to change the batteries, as well as when it's time to replace the unit. I bought this to replace an inferior CO monitor in the guest cottage, as the legislation has changed, and it was time for an upgrade. I'm so impressed with this one, I think I'll get another one of these for my own house.

This Kidde Carbon Monoxide Alarm is great .I purchased it to replace the one I purchased over 10years ago.

This is the second one I have bought, the first one worked perfectly for 11 years until the "End of life" warning came up so I thought it was good to buy the same device again and that was so easy to set up I am very pleased with it so far. One difference I have seen with the new one is it has 2 batteries, the first one 11 years ago had 3.

Bought to replace an identical alarm which expired after 10:years as forecast. Straight swap on the existing bracket which has not changed fro the original design. Well pleased.

Replacing out of date one. No problem with previous so why change. Good value for money. Loud enough, display clear have not fitted it. Was told by gas engineer to put on top of fireplace and not in boiler cupboard

Tester en réel pour tester sa réactivité elle c'est déclencher au seul prévu par la notice. Longue durée de vie 10 ans. Écran digital indiquant le à quantité de monoxyde. Sirène très stridente et très forte. Poser cher moi à hauteur de nez dans le séjour ou se trouve mon insert. Bouton de test et bouton pour voir les pics de monoxyde sur l'écran LCD À coupler avec un DAF de même marque et vous serez tranquille des années.

Habe den ersten ersetzt, da die 10 Jahre Lebensdauer überschritten waren. Gerät hat bis dahin tadellos funktioniert.

Buona durata delle batterie che consentono una lunga autonomia. Buona anche l' estetica. Per quanto riguarda l'affidabilità nella funzionalità non è dato saperlo finché non si presenta il caso per testarlo. Spero mai.. Quindi tale giudizio non posso darlo. A sensazione sembra valido
