Try this before you waste money on the more expensive version.
I had a look a the more expensive options available, including the sigma lens dock. I thought I'd be a fool not to give this ago first, and in doing so I have saved a bundle. It is basically a card version of the spyderlenscal only for nearly £50.00 less. I have just finished calibrating by sigma 50mm f1.4 on my Canon 6d. It was so simple to do and only took me a matter of minutes.I've attached the first image taken and the one taken after I calibrated the lense. These images were taken at f1.4, I'm very impressed with the result.

Flimsy but does the job!
I have a lens which just wasn't focussing properly. It's a 2.8 with a lovely bokeh so having to stop it down to get a greater depth of field to get a better chance of focus seemed a waste. I was toying with the idea of spending £50+ for the SpyderLensCal, but I spotted this tool and thought, for just a few quid, I'd give it a try first.First impressions weren't brilliant as it just looked like a flimsy sheet of printed cardboard. I folded it out so that it looked like the photo but it still didn't inspire confidence. I persevered though. I'd read up on how to calibrate lenses using similar set ups and, using the camera's AF adjustment, set about trying to rectify my auto focus problem. To my amazement, after just a couple of attempts, the auto focus problem was solved and I can now use the lens wide open with confidence. It's not an elegant piece of kit but it works and for the price, it's a real no brainer.

Does the job
It isn't going to survive the next apocalypse but then it's not supposed to! Works as it says it does. You may want to buy a more robust device if you will be buying a few lenses to test, or just buy a few of these! Note if I remember rightly it does ship from abroad so does'nt arrive that quickly and could be sensitive to bending in-post but it's not expensive so worth the risk.

Arrived in a couple of days. Made from thin card but it does work very well. I have now carefully re folded and put away safely for next time. Its not an item that's going to be used every day by most people so is more than adequate for the job made for. Besides you can buy a lot of these for the 40 plus pounds that a plastic made version of this item costs. There are no instructions on how to use this item included. But then again if you know what this item is used for then you probably have some idea on how its used. Definitely worth four stars.

Good value
It's cheap, cheerful and flimsy - but it does what it should at a very good price (though it's increased in price by 40p (a large percentage) since I ordered it two weeks ago! It's not the kind of thing you use every day, so with careful storage, It'll last a long time.I'm surprised that some reviewers have complained about the lack of instructions: there are some on the listing page - and it's pretty obvious how to use it.

Works just as well as the Spyder Lenscal which costs £50 or more. Obviously, being made of only card, it will not have the life expectancy of the Lenscal but this can fold up flat into an envelope and take up no room at all and will last a lifetime if looked after. For something you only use once for each lens, generally, this is perfectly suitable for the job.

Don't hesitate, buy one now.
Brilliant, and so much cheaper than some are charging. You could pay 30 times the price for a stronger laminate version but really, why? Unless you buy lenses every week, you don't really need anything stronger. Use it on your present lenses, store it safely, then, when you eventually buy another lens, use it again. It'll last you very well.Thank you.

Lens focus calibration
I bought this to use in conjunction with the Sigma dongle, to accurately set the focus on my new lens. Excellent accessory.
