Great product and easy to use especially with the app and your phone to read the strips after use to give you the readings, ideal for beginners. Will buy again and very happy with the number in pack.

These test strips are great, would highly recommend. They’re easy to use and work quickly. The only thing I would say is don’t bother downloading the app which claims it can read the results - depending on the light you take the picture in it records it completely wrong and provides inaccurate advice on how to ‘correct’ things. Trust your eyes and compare the test trip to the chart on the bottle itself :)

Easy to use. Clear instructions and clear interpretation chart on the tube. I got this brand because it said the results could be read by an app. The app isn't that great, sometimes the app will read something as off and in need of attention but when I check against the tube all is good. But the app is handy for keeping a log of readings. Though I think we will be getting log book as you cant note fish stocks etc in the app. The app is also very slow and you need to ensure you are under strong artificial light to get it to take a good photo. So no complaints about the test strips themselves just annoying that the app isn't great, I thought the app would add extra confidence as I've not kept fish in a very long time and my Dad did all the maintenance side but actually it's not really worth it. So I have had to knock a star off because of the bad app.

I want to start this review saying one thing - many people criticise the strip based test kits as being inaccurate and say water test kits should always be used. I have a very well established fish tank that's huge, and these test kits amply give enough accuracy for general day to day water checking. You're never going to have the accuracy of a water test kit from these, and I would recommend anyone who is cycling a new tank or has problems with a current one to look at the more expensive water test kits. HOWEVER, as I said before, general day to day checking with these straps gives enough accuracy to test the water if you're doing it say weekly, just to check the water is ticking over nice and fish safely. They are good value and a good way to keep an eye on levels such as nitrate (which is scarily high in tap water, plants that eat nitrates are important if you're not using special water such as reverse osmosis), pH, water hardness etc. Just to add a last thing, different varieties of fish like drastically different water conditions, though with UK treated tap water I found the water here (Dorset) is perfect for pleco, mollies, fan tailed guppies, angelfish, corydoras and tetra. Always make sure your water is in the right parameters and at the right temperature and you'll be amazed how long your fish will live! Our pleco fish are only a year old, approx 14 to go!

Great little product, simply dip in your aquarium and within minutes you can get a rough idea of how good, or poor your water quality is. Will need a separate test for NH³ Ammonia though. Tests for PH, GH, KH, NO², NO³ and Cl levels. Easy to hold strips up to colour chart on the packaging to get an at a glance idea of your Aquarium parameters. There is a downloadable app to assist in reading your test results which has the potential to be more accurate, however it is strictly dependent on your phone camera and ambient lighting quality. Can give mixed readings so dont rely too heavily on it. It is great for keeping record of past results though and you can edit the readings manually to keep a 'diary' as it were. Oddly the app gives me mixed readings for CO² levels which I dont think is actually tested for on the strip lol. Overall a pretty handy piece of equipment to have for responsible fish keeping 👍👍

The water from dipping them bled into each of the colours so couldn’t make out readings properly. Kept it still as dipping but still bled into eachother

The strips are very easy to use and one can quickly assess water quality . The colour coded tube that contains the test strips means that it is simple to line the used strip against the tube and see what the various readings are . Two shakes of a fish's tail and the process is complete . Ideal product and I heartily recommend to other fish keepers .

This test strip is so easy to use and it tests 6 important parameters all at once. Just hold the strip in the water for a few seconds, shake off the water, wait 60 seconds and then compare the colour change with the colour chart. It is easy to see if the 6 different values are within the OK range. Hold the strip the right way up when aligning it with the tube - the black mark at one end lines up with the black mark on the tube.

Hace unos meses compramos una pecera junto con algunos peces para tener en casa. En la odisea que es ser primerizo en esto de cuidar de este tipo de seres vivos, estuvimos buscando mucha información sobre limpieza, mantenimiento y buena vida para los peces. No fueron pocos sitios los que recomendaban este producto, así que nos decidimos a probarlo. La marca tiene una trayectoria reconocida así que parecía un acierto seguro. Y así ha sido. El funcionamiento es muy sencillo, con un código de colores en la tira y una referencia según la intensidad para saber cómo debemos actuar según los colores que nos salgan. Conviene realizar este tipo de test cuando cambiamos el agua de la pecera para saber que todo está correcto. En nuestro caso, que somos primerizos, si hemos visto que los peces estaban un poco agitados hemos hecho un test por si hubiera que tratar el agua de alguna forma. Sin embargo, siempre nos daba que el agua estaba correcta, lo cual es un alivio. En general, es un producto más de cuidado para nuestros amiguitos acuáticos, necesario para saber que están bien. Utilizzo queste strisce ogni settimana per controllare i valori dell'acqua del mio acquario, dove tengo esclusivamente pesci rossi d'acqua fredda, e finora mi hanno sempre soddisfatto. Sono davvero semplici da usare: basta immergere la striscia nell'acqua, attendere circa un minuto e si ottiene una panoramica dei principali valori. Per i controlli di routine sono comodissime e permettono di verificare rapidamente se è tutto nella norma. Mi piace il fatto che con un'unica striscia si possano controllare pH, nitriti, nitrati, durezza, cloro e gli altri parametri più importanti, evitando di dover usare test diversi. La scala dei colori è abbastanza intuitiva e, se si vuole un aiuto in più, anche l'app di Tetra rende la lettura ancora più semplice. La confezione da 50 strisce dura parecchio, soprattutto se, come nel mio caso, faccio un controllo settimanale. Considerando la praticità e la qualità del prodotto, il rapporto qualità-prezzo è davvero buono. Per chi vuole monitorare regolarmente l'acqua del proprio acquario senza perdere troppo tempo, le consiglio tranquillamente. Nel mio caso si sono rivelate un acquisto davvero utile e le ricomprerei senza pensarci due volte. Al momento della recensione il prezzo di vendita di questo prodotto è di 16,26 euro, un buon prezzo considerando che nei negozi di animali e acquariologia costano quasi 10 euro in più

Ich nutze den Tetra Test 7in1 regelmäßig für mein Aquarium und bin absolut zufrieden. Der Test funktioniert einwandfrei und liefert schnell die wichtigsten Wasserwerte. Die Teststreifen lassen sich leicht handhaben und zeigen die Werte zuverlässig an. Das absolute Highlight ist die dazugehörige App. Man scannt den Teststreifen einfach ein, und die App wertet das Ganze digital aus. Das verhindert lästiges Raten beim Farbvergleich. Wenn mal ein Wert nicht optimal ist, liefert die App direkt konkrete Tipps und Handlungsempfehlungen zur Wasseraufbereitung. Das macht das Ganze besonders für Einsteiger extrem leicht verständlich.
