I absolutely love my Lomi! I can use all food scraps including food that has spoiled and even small bones. I basically have no garbage, just clean trash. I even take home restaurant leftovers that I won’t eat and toss them in my Lomi. I use the 5 hour setting and usually use about 3 quarts of food scraps. After just a few hours I have about a quart of beautiful, peat moss like, fragrant, dry compost. I can even add some paper and pieces of cardboard. The 5 hour cycle costs about 12 cents per cycle. I use it about twice per week and in about 6 weeks I got 8.5 lbs which I put in my garden. This is the easiest and most effective method of composting I’ve ever used. I won’t ever be able to do without it. It’s very sturdy and easy to use. I find it too big for my kitchen counter but it’s perfect in my basement. I wash it with soap and water after each use even though it looks clean. If I don’t wash it, it eventually gets a hard, difficult to remove residue.

The Filters came before the Lomi Composter, I would have prefer all to come together. Not much I can do with the filters without the composter.
