So much fun!
Love this paint! They are so tiny, so I had to buy some special magnifying glasses for it but very fun to do this! The Paint is very high-quality, and even the brushes pretty good. I will recommend this product to anyone.

Very detailed paint by number kit
I got this paint by number and another one. My daughter is actually working on this one while I'm working on the other. It requires a lot more detail than I expected. I don't think I've done a paint by number since I was a kid and I just wasn't prepared for the detail. In fact, it's so detailed and small that I got a magnifying light up lamp to help me out a little. I really do like it. It's fairly easy to read. It has a separate paper with the numbers and design on it, so if you paint over a number, you can still see what it is. I find that this is very relaxing, despite being a bit tedious to complete. The age recommendation on this kit is a little higher than the other and I think it's because of the level of detail. The paint colors are all present. They are all wet and work well. They even include a little cardboard piece to hold the paints in place which makes it easier than working around 20 different containers. My daughter says that the canvas quality isn't as good as her standard ones for painting, but I haven't noticed any issues with the canvas and am very happy with it.

Piece of thick cardboard, not a cotton canvas panel
The media could not be loaded. It's too bad that the substrate they give you to 🎨 paint on for this Ravensburger creative paint by numbers kit is simply a piece of thick cardboard with a white layer on the top. I was hoping this would be a cotton canvas panel board, like I've seen in some other paint by numbers kits.I got this kit, planning to use it with my elderly mom. Paint my number kits give practice in remembering numbers and numerals, thus some mental gymnastics, while offering another opportunity for art making. But when my mom saw how teeny tiny the spaces are and the numbers are that you have to find and paint, she said no to this particular activity. The really tiny spaces to paint would be hard for her essential tremor, anyway. It won't be easy for mine either. Someone who doesn't shake would probably be okay with it though. They do provide one double-sided paintbrush, of which one side is quite fine. You receive a bunch of tiny standard plastic numbered paint pots, like in most traditional paint by number kits. 🎨You also get a relatively small packet of varnish to use on the painting once you're done painting in all the little spots. I'm not sure whether it would cover the whole thing or not, but some kits don't have any at all, so it's a nice touch. The scene is pretty, and marked on the cardboard in light blue. You also receive a separate piece of paper that has the same key to painting on it which is a good idea because once you start painting in all the little numbers you might get lost as to where you are.The pallets to hold the little paint pots is a really good idea that I've never seen before. It's nice that they have two, which would be good for people who plan to do it as a duo. (Since there's only one brush 🖌️ you'll have to provide your own second one though) I was hoping these pot palettes would be sturdy and reusable, possibly for other kits I've gotten us to do. They're just a sturdy cardboard though. The kit says it includes a hanger too, but since it's this is just cardboard and not a canvas panel, you might want to plan to put it in a frame because that will look better on your wall.

Bring your tiny brush and steady hand
The media could not be loaded. I haven't started painting yet as I am a bit overwhelmed by the tiny size of the painting areas. I wanted to be sure to post this review so folks know what they are signing up for with this set. I love paint by numbers and love the beautiful river cottage in this paint set. This is for people ready to have steady hands, and really delve into detail small strokes. Good guidance that this is for folks aged 14 and up. This may also work if you are more of a free-form person and use the numbers and photo as "guidance"The board is quite thick and there are roughly 36 paint colors. The brush looked ok, I kind of expected two brushes of higher quality for the price.

Easy!!
This would be a great gift for adults and kids alike. It's really easy and simple to do, and the finished picture at the end just looks so complex and amazing!! Anyone who finishes this will definitely feel accomplished. Comes with a brush and enough paint, as well as instructions on how to do it!

Challenging but fun
I absolutely love this! Even though I thought I was doing horribly it was actually turning out really nice. It's very time consuming, it took me around 2 hours just to do the section pictured. My biggest issue is my poor vision and my unsteady hands. It makes it a little difficult. I wish the numbers could be a little darker than they are, however they'd be much harder to cover up with paint.I'm so thankful I don't have to do this in one sitting. This will probably take me well over a week to finish, but at least that'll give me lots of time to relax when I do get to sit down and work on it.

Bring your patience
When I was in graduate school, I used to enjoy painting and craft classes as a stress reliever. I ordered a couple of these paint-by-number kits hoping for the same, but as soon as I opened them I sadly realized they were going to be the opposite. The sections are quite literally microscopic. The materials quality seems decent - the Ravensburger brand is a good one - but I have an issue with the brush. Even though it's two-sided, it's going to be too big for the smallest sections and not big enough for the larger sections. If you're buying a painting kit, you probably have your own brushes - if not, you'll want to borrow/buy some. If I actually finish this sometime in 2025, I'll post a photo. :)
