Can this item be removed and re-used at a later date, or is it the case of once in-place then it's stuck? Debating buying for winter & removing later

This item is reusable. I first fitted it to a smooth shelled road helmet, and when the helmet was damaged I then removed the windjammer....gave it a quick wash with soap and water, dried it and then put it straight onto my new helmet which is a Dual-sport helmet ( lots of angles and vents ) and still fits fine.The windjammer is a stretchy fabric oval, with a very sticky inner side that faces and adheres to the helmet through Stiction....not glues or permement. You could remove it daily if you wanted...just clean with soapy water to reactivate the sticky side.

Will this work with a dual sport helmet?

Don't know alex, but it didn't work well at all with my helmet, still lots of wind noise and only used it for a couple of days then I gave up with it, so I wouldn't recommend one

anyone explain why this is not suitable for a flip front (apart from the obvious) thanks

The whole thing sticks to the helmet, albeit removable sticky stuff. It would be a pain if you use the flip up often in the up position. Also, when I bought this product, by the time I had stretched it around the bottom of the helmet the hole was the same size as the helmet hole, rendering it useless.. and it isn't like i have a large head, my helmets are all M size.

could this be installed on the side as my inside are removeable ?

From the picture of the product, you'll see that the adhesive side is on the inside of the sock so it sticks to the outside side of the helmet all the way round.I don't think it'll work if you try to fit to the inside side of the helmet as the adhesive tape would be on the wrong surface.Hope that helps!
