iLC's OBD2 scanner supports all 12 V petrol vehicles but cannot support diesel, 24V heavy-duty, hybrid or electric vehicles. You can attach the model of the car, the year of the car, the fuel of the car, and as much information as possible. We can check the compatibility of your car with our products to avoid wasting your valuable time. ***PLEASE NOTE***: - This Device Will Not Clear ABS or Airbag Faults For Safety Reasons- NOT FOR Apple ios device: iPhone, iPad. (For iPhones & iPads, please look at our WiFi version.)- No fault codes will be detected if the car has no vehicle failures. When used with proper software, you can read:Engine RPMCalculated load valueCoolant temperatureFuel system statusSpeedShort/long term fuel situationIntake manifold pressureFuel injection advance timeetc...NOTE: Your vehicle may not support reading all of the above parameters. How many parameters you can get depends on the vehicle manufacturer's implementation and the year the vehicle was manufactured. Generally, newer vehicles will provide more readings. Answers to common questionsQ: Can I read ABS/SRS/TPMS, VSC, Oil Change, General Maintenance Lightscodes(etc.) with this?A: Unfortunately, no. Our OBDII reader is able to access real time engine information that is part of OBDII and read and clear check engine light only. Q: How to choose your app?A:iLC's OBD2 scanner is suitable for most apps (free or paid), giving you a wealth of options. If you are a regular car owner, a free app is enough to get most of the important data from the car engine. Of course, if you want to know more data, you can use paid apps, and their prices range from 2 EUR to 50 EUR.

this will save you money!
i recently took my car to the local garage because the engine management light popped up on my dash board, the fault had gone but the warning light still annoyingly stayed lit, which in turn immobilized my cruise control. it cost me £20 for the garage to plug in his diagnostic laptop and reset the light. Thats when i looked in to this product which will do the same thing the garage did and so much more. with the free app"torque" you can see live information about your car as you drive. really happy with this scanner and would buy again if needed.

Works well
Instructions are clear enough. Android phone app has lots of dials and displays, but for me the important thing was to be able to read any fault codes, and it does this well. The device has various LEDs that begin to flash as soon as you plug it in. With a Ford Connect van (2010) it was able to read the codes without a key in the ignition. With a Hyundai i10 (2013) the key was needed and the ignition in the number 2 position (all lights on the dashboard). You know it's going to work when the app on the phone confirms a connection to the car ECU, but it might take a minute or so whilst it hunts for a working protocol connection.

Perfect for the have-a-go mechanic
With the right app (there are many to choose from, I used Torque's paid-for 'ODB Check') this is quite good for diagnosing faults with your car that would otherwise cost a princely sum at the garage. This even found a fault that wasn't being highlighted on the dash (a fuel-line pressure sensor, to be precise). The app I used in combination with this scanner also has a dials and gauges display mode to show all the sensors in near real-time (speed, RPM, temperature and other low-level ones). Makes for nerdy intrigue :-)

Brilliant little bit of kit!!
Very easy to use an great value for money, read an erased faults on both mine an my other half's car (my02 impreza sti + 02 bmw330) without any problems, makes finding an fixing problems alot easier for yourself plus the app you need to use with it is brilliant too, I was abit sceptical about purchasing this at first as didn't think it would be as good as it described.. but I'm very impressed at how easy it is to use an for the price too, I'd definitely recommend this to anybody for trouble shooting faults, an the live feed to the app on your phone from your ecu wile driving (I. E boost pressure, air/fuel ratio, etc..) is second to none because you know it's getting direct information from the ecu itself, very pleased with such a simple product at how easy an stress free it is to find faults rather than taking it to a garage or asking a friend to scan for codes

It works!
I was a little dubious about buying one of these Chinese clones, but I thought "What the heck! It might work," and it works just fine with my Vauxhall Astra IV (even though the installation guide says that Vauxhall is not supported). I loaded Torque Lite (as recommended) onto my Android phone, plugged the scanner into the OBD port, and fired it up. Bluetooth pairing was a breeze, and the app worked first time. I can now read the error codes on the Engine Management System, and I know that the service centre that I took my car to were lying to me when they told me that four sensors needed replacing on my car. Hopefully, only one sensor is bad (to be confirmed by my Vauxhall dealership). I'm a happy chappie. Get one of these critters. It may save you a lot of money.

Works a treat!
Had a fault code on my Astra H that indicated a coolant problem. Got this and loaded free "torque lite" app on my android phone. Connected first time and allowed me to measure coolant temperature over a trip. Confirmed that thermostat was stuck open. Brilliant for the price. Only gripe is with Vauxhall/GM; they have proprietary error codes that they won't release (well, only for loads of money), would have been nice to be able to access the radiator temperature sensor too.

Money well spent
I generally don't leave reviews but this scanner was well worth such a small outlay it deserved a small review. Compared to your normal cheap plug in scanners this achieved much more coupled with the right app. Which they cost me 2/3 times the cost of this.Straight out the box it worked, connected via Bluetooth with no issues.A couple of apps I used were basic, but with the right app found everything the cheap plug in scanner I already had couldn't find.My issue was the service spanner (emmision or electronic fault) on a Corsa not the EML light, various scanners would not read the code because it wasn't the EML but this with the scanmyopelcan app found the code straight away, it's already paid for itself with one car.Less than a tenner you can't really go wrong. It also worked fine a 2002 Freelander and a 2007 C4 Picasso.

Accurate but if you can make it connect
It connected flawlessly the first time.Second time it took me around 10 mins to connect. Removed it from the port, deleted the bluetooth connection, re connect both, repeat about 10 times, then it worked.Third time took about 15 mins, similar situation as 2nd time and I was about to break it but since I was thinking of returning, so did not break it. It connected to bluetooth, for about 2/3 seconds and automatically get disconnected.God, it was painful.Any how, 4th time it worked fine as first time.As I said, if it connects it works flawlessly with accurate data.Lets see how it goes for the coming days until I am within the return window.
