how long do they last on an open fire?

We had an open fire outside last weekend with these and man did they just keep giving! The majority of the effect is seen during the first (approx) hour but we still had small coloured flames at bedtime and were reluctant to leave as it was so beautiful. We lit the fire everyday before lunch and had residual effects all day! Amazing product!
