The Little, Brown Compact Handbook with Exercises (8th Edition) (Aaron Little, Brown Franchise)

I find that this book a great assistance next to the dictionary. It has examples and all of the writing tips and concepts needed to assist with all of your writing assignments.

My grandson ordered this for college. It has been very useful to him in his English compositions. Would recommend it.

This book is okay. A class I took required that I get it. Can be helpful to some people. However, all the information in it can be found online.

I ordered this book for school.Honestly, couldn't care less about this book.I've maybe opened a few times...I'm sure it would have helped had I cared more though!

There is so much to see and do in this book that I haven't had time yet to take it all in. I love the use of colour to clarify things, the layout and the examples. The exercises are somewhat frustrating because I can't find the key, so I can never be quite sure I have got it right.It's American English so sometimes the small differences with British English are confusing. The ring binding is very handy. The format is small, so there is a lot of leafing involved, nevertheless they manage to put general guidelines on one page.All in all, a very useful book to have if you want to write in English.
