Good quality, comfortable headphones with clear sound.
Great product. Delivered on time. Clear instructions. A little bit of sound interference when using them with a Samsung TV, but in fairness, it was probably the TV or the D-A converter (read on) that was generating it. Sound quality was much better than using the TV speakers. I bought these for my elderly mother who is finding it hard to hear the TV without it having to be turned up significantly. I thought I'd describe the set-up as I'm sure others would like to do what I've done here.... If the TV was only to be used by her then the headphone base would simply plug in to the headphone socket of the TV (lead is supplied for this). However, as with many TV's (particularly the lower-end ones) when plugging in to the headphone socket, the TV's speakers are cut off. Fine for just 1 person, but my father also wanted to listen to it at the same time. The only other audio output on their TV (Samsung UE32F5000 series) was a digital optical output. I therefore purchased an eSynic Digital to Analogue converter (Amazon £12.95), a TOSlink optical cable to connect it to the TV (Amazon £3.95) and a twin phono - phono lead (Amazon £3.95) for connecting the eSynic D-A converter to the headphone base station. Total cost for project was under £56. There are a couple of things to be aware of with this setup..... (1) Because the signal is via digital output, the volume level is fixed (i.e. it doesn't go up and down with the remote control). There is a volume control on the headphones and this can be used to set the headphone level. In our case the maximum volume setting was sufficient, but this wasn't anywhere near as loud as it would have been if the base station had been plugged into the headphone socket of the TV. This isn't a defect, but just a limitation of using an optical output from the TV and a D-A converter. (2) The simple, inexpensive eSynic D-A converter that I bought worked fine, but to use this the TV MUST have the ability to set the digital audio output type to 'PCM' (found under the sound settings of the TV). If the TV only outputs Dolby, then a more complex unit would be required. I hope that helps others who might need the same setup as me.

Brilliant range, comfortable, adjustable to a wide range of head/hair sizes and cable free!
Feel free to walk into your kitchen, garden, or down your street for a good distance before any signal loss gets between you and your tunes. These wireless headphones are compatible with any device sporting a 3.5mm headphone port. I've owned my set since April 2014 and six months on, they're still going strong, comfy as ever. Battery life is good, the 'phones come with 300mAh AAA rechargeable batteries, which can be further improved by higher capacity rechargeables. I use the 'phones for several hours each day and with my 1000mAh batteries, I get well over a week's use of them. The advantage of sticking with the original batteries is that the headphones can charge in the dock, which doesn't seem possible with third party replacements; however my AAAs last, so it's a non-issue. Replacing the batteries is a cinch, and though it takes a slight tug of the right fabric cup, rest assured, they're very sturdy. Interference is rare, and though there have been times I've had to adjust my head position to negate it, interference is minimal at most. I find the best way to remove white noise and high-pitched frequencies is to raise device volume, and lower headphone volume. It's very convenient having two volume controls. My initial motive for purchase was to drown out the incessant ramblings and obnoxious shriekings of an inconsiderate housemate -- it did the trick. I escaped into a world of my own creation, soothed by melody, rhythm, and bass. The audio quality is great, they can get pretty bassy, and with a little fine tuning of volumes, distortion won't be much of an issue. Perhaps best in class at the fantastic price of £30, and transcending cost, I remain impressed with my purchase. FREEDOM!

Reasonably good sound, though better suited to TV listening
I bought this pair of headphones mostly for TV use later at night, but you can use them with any device that can output sound via the headphone socket (3.5mm or 6.3mm). This came in quite a large box included were: The headphones Plastic stand/base for charging and connecting to the audio output Power adapter 3.5mm to 6.3mm chrome plated adapter this allows you to use larger headphone sockets. 2 x AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries rated at 550mAh A lead with a 3.5mm male plug to 2 x composite plugs (you connect this to the base and then to the sound source) length: 110cm approx. The user guide is quite clear the phones are easy to set up, pop off the right side of the phones insert the AAA cells, plug in the charger and set the phones down in the cradle, there are 2 holes on the right side and 2 prongs on the cradle for charging. The manual recommends a 24 hour initial charge. To set up the audio attach the 2 composite leads the white/red sockets and plug in the stereo plug to the sound source (TV, stereo, MP3 player etc) On th right is a power button, the left ear pad has the auto tune button. You can change the frequency channel on the back of the charging stand via a switch to 3 positions if you need to. **In use** Range was good on the phones I had no problems using them in various rooms and a good distance away from the base station, the manual quotes about 20 metres inside and it's not far off of that in my testing. I didn't have any interference issues or dropping out of sound. Exact range might vary (concrete walls/floors will reduce it a bit) no complaints here. To adjust the volume use the dial on the left hand side. Fit was good quite comfortable on the head, the top band has some padding to it and the phones are light to wear. Deep padding on the ear pads nice to see that. The main base will light up red via an LED when it's connected to a sound source and powered on. A green LED lights up when you have the phones in the base charging (you have to power off the phones) it takes about 10 hours to fully charge them and I got about 7 hours continuous use off one charge (lowest volume levels will give slightly longer endurance) The base is a bit "hollow/thin" plastics wise, nothing mind blowing here it does the job no more. In most cases I found the charging worked fine but you might need to move the position of the phones to engage the pins. **Sound quality** At this price level the phones sound fairly good, but with an emphasis on the mid tones (speech and vocals) bass is a bit weak I expected more in this area they don't have a lot of depth or punch in the lowest frequencies though an acceptable response for the upper bass level. Treble was clear enough without being too sharp. To get a decent output make sure the volume of the source (ie TV or Hi-fi) is up higher, then adjust the headset level as required. **Final thoughts** For the asking price these headphones are pretty good, easy to set up and have a stable reliable connection. The sound is respectable though I feel they work better for TV listening than music. If you like a deep tight bass "thump" you'll be disappointed in these headphones the upper low end is quite good but they don't have huge depth in the bass it's quite laid back and relaxed. Saying that they were satisfactory for music listening, if you're not overly fussy or don't compare them to some wired phones which will do better here. Quite happy, some room for improvement though the cradle/base station is a bit weedy in build, but the phones seem fine. Any issues I'll update the review to reflect that.
