Crankshaft Pulley Bolt Undone Easily
I’ve been dreading removing the crankshaft pulley bolt on my car for a timing belt change and other major engine repairs. The crankshaft pulley bolt is notorious for being a bugger to get loose, the last one I did took a two meter scaffolding bar and around an hour of fatigue to undo. It really put me off major repairs. So this time, after reading some good reviews, invested in one of these hoping it would come undone easily. And I have been impressed. The tool is very sturdy and seems like it will last for a long time for the average DIY mechanic. The cable is plenty long enough for an area around a car, but I did use an extension lead to get power outside. I like the fact it’s mains operated as I don’t have any more batteries to worry about. The four sockets that come with it are very sturdy and look like they will take a beating. I used a new Sealey set of impact sockets with the tool, so I can’t say about their performance though. A downside is that the tool only comes in a cardboard box, a plastic case would have really finished it off nicely.Anyway, I took the wheel nuts off with the tool first for a bit of practise. They came off no problem at all, the tool is very powerful and providing you hold it sturdy doesn’t try to spin like a normal drill would. Love the sound it makes too.I finally got to the crankshaft pulley bolt after stripping parts away from the engine bay. I sat there saying a few prayers that I could remember and thought “it’s crunch time”. I took the tool to the pulley bolt and put it on full power in reverse. It rattled on the bolt a little and the bolt FLEW out in about 3 SECONDS! It made it so easy, I were so chuffed it worked.Based on past experiences, I would say it were worth the 50 quid I paid, just to undo that one bolt. It’s what I bought it for and it did great. I don’t usually buy things like this but Im confident about rusty/ tight bolts on cars now that I have this tool. I think it’s a great investment and will save a lot of arm-ache in years to come. I highly recommend this tool to any DIY repairer.A word of advice. If you are going to put bolts/ nuts back on with this type of tool, make sure to hand tighten a few times to correctly seat the threads first. If the threads are crossed this tool will strip them easily causing unwanted damage to the threads and extra repair work that could end up being further expense.

Variable speed control, light weight and budget price make this a great buy!
I really like this budget impact wrench. The headline feature for me is the variable speed control, which is an absolute must and makes using the wrench very easy. Build quality is fine: it feels well made from quality materials, and it's not stupidly loud in use. It's not particularly powerful, but it's powerful enough for most jobs you'd tackle on a car, and it's light enough to to be a nuisance.Register your wrench within a month of purchase and you'll get a 3-year warranty, which is pretty good. If you're worried about the Silverline brand being a beat cheap and nasty, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Amazing tool, should of bought on sooner
Ignore any negative review about its power and capabilities. This thing just payed for its self for me in its first use. Ive done many suspension jobs and always have trouble with the top mount nuts on the front shock absorbers. Yesterday i started a job and the top nuts were solid stuck. We snapped 3 or 4 allen keys, tried breaker bar, stuck it in a vice, even a blow torch to heat the nut, nothing. I ordered this last night at 7pm to arrive today (fantastic in itself)... not expecting THAT much from it because of some reviews, but i thought id give one a go before giving in to a garage (it would of been usefull for something i thought, even if it didnt do the job i wanted). Well... first zap with this and it was off! Didn’t really need to hold it for too long mabe 6-10 seconds and the nut was off. Correctly torqued wheel nuts? Off in seconds, didnt even look like it was breaking a sweat doing them. Rusty suspension bolts? Same thing, didnt even bother with WD40. Also it tightens up bolts enough aswell, i checked with hand tools and couldent turn any further. This thing is the best tool ive ever bought it saves so much time i did both front sides of my cars suspension in half the time it would normally and my hands are not wrecked afterwards!! Honestly buy it and see for yourself! if it can do the nut i was stuck on it can do 99% of jobs in my opinion. Ive alwasy struggled with top mount nuts but managed in the end but this time no hand tools would budge it, this made lightwork. I wouldent even go with a better know brand thats more expensive this one is more than capable! Ive worked on cars long enough to know whats good and whats not and this is fantastic! Very very happy car now back on the road.

It works. It works well.
I am avoiding having to invest in a battery pack system (expensive!), so this was on my list. It has undone some very rusted-on bolts. There is only one that it has not managed to undo -but part of that is because I was holding the nut on the other side, so it wasn't able to make full use of the impact.I like the progressive trigger, the light that tell you it's powered, the sturdy cable, and the fact that it's 1/2" and works with my current socket set.Very pleased.

good value for money
couldn't get the drive sprocket loose on my motorbike even with a large torque bar so bought this impact wrench because it was cheap and figured I'd only need it once. It took a couple seconds to have the 27mm nut off. this might not be a professional gun but it does the job pretty good and would make short work of wheel nuts which I think it's more aimed at, quality seems pretty good and feels fairly robust, It does come with some standard wheel nut size sockets but they don't look like impact sockets but for the money this is an excellent buy for the amateur mechanic. In my opinion this gun paid for itself after one use.

Molto robusto
Ho provato a vedere se funziona e allo stesso tempo ho sentito un prodotto di qualità, robusto bello massiccio e appunto funzionante. Fa un bel suno che conferma robustezza. Me lo auguro anche in opera, in caso contrario tornerò...

Really impressed with product performance!
I needed a tool to unscrew lawn mover knifes. I couldn't do that with normal wrench at all, the bolt was already half-rounded. I started looking at possible options and most impact wrenches are quite expensive. They are either air tools, so you need to invest in a compressor; or battery ones, and you need to buy a battery and a charger. Most tools with decent power are quite expensive. Shame they don't make more impact wrenches like this, with mains power. In short this tool did the job in half a second, it was almost effortless. Not sure how it goes in a long run but I'm really happy with the purchase!
