Q: Is this compatible with electric cooker?

Yes it is. I use it on a gas hob, but the instructions say it can be used on an electric hob.

Hi - the answer is "no" - it does not have a lid

Q: What is the maximum recommended temperature? I've read that non-stick coatings can be toxic above 260c. I was hoping to use for very hot frying.

I'm still working out temperatures so I don't know the answer. However, this pan gets hot quickly so trying to cook food at 260c will rapidly give you charcoal! Also, frying implies using lots of fat but griddles are designed to use little or no fat, depending on what you're cooking. If you want to fry food, I suggest a frying pan or deep fat fryer
