Perfect job site saw
Top notch job site saw, great build quality, my fence was spot on out of the box, purchased on eBay uk as I couldn't get one shipped from Amazon UK, and double the price here in Spain. Mine came with the US style flip over fence, for small cuts and extending cut shelf, although the one I ordered was exactly the same as the one pictured above. see YouTube for the difference. A few pointers the blade insert plate has 4 screws to set its height, they do not attach it to the table, I removed all 4 and then the locking screw to instal the guard and riving knife, just turn the screw nearest to you to remove the plate. The riving blade slots in, undo the nut a few turns push the riving blade part way in then push the spring loaded nut in, this will allow the bade to click into place, then tighten the nut. The mitre slide has some play and would be adequate for general site joinery, if you are using this as a shop saw make a cross cut sled. The only niggle is the riving blade sits well above the blade making rebate cuts impossible with the blade attached (possible mod to mine as I prefer it attached at all times to stop binding and kick backs.) this saw will replace a site saw I have had for a good few years. I will update this when I have put it through its paces. I would probably recommend the trolley accessory, the saw is not overly heavy but needs a good stand and the trolley seems a good solution to moving and working from.

Brilliant, accurate,portable,noisy.
What a machine. Love it. Bought it to start making some home hobby furniture and used it to trim down some decor ends when fitting my kitchen. The cuts were accurate and pin sharp and clean. Portable and accurate. The fence is solid and accurate with the locking mechanism and width adjust having a smooth operation and accurate measure. It kicks out some sawdust so I would expect to buy a vacuum if working indoors. The only negative I can say is it's noisy. Without comparing this to other machines it's hard to gauge competition but I would expect them to be the same. A brake would have been one way of reducing the noise after cutting. All in all a great price of kit and I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Excellent Saw.
I Love this saw. I'd been looking for a while and almost talked myself out of getting one based on cost. Then one of these popped up on an Amazon Warehouse deal. Bargain, I'll take that one please. There was some damage to the saw, possibly damaged in transit but Amazon were great at dealing with this. I've had it a while now and used this way more than I ever through I would. The accuracy out of the box was almost spot on. Only a minor tweak required which was a breeze. The fence really makes this saw for me. It's quick to adjust and spot on. The mitre gauge could be better but it's not really something I use. It's far more likely that I would us a sled with an adjustable mitre angle if I ever get time to build one that is! I mainly use it to rip large sheets and I will get round to making a crosscut sled. Sometimes I don't have space to use two saws so would be nice to just use the one. It's been put through it's paces and answered every question I've asked of it so far. The blade it comes with was okay. Solid all round blade that produced a good cut. Though the blade got a little hot during one job and started vibrating a lot on the next. Regardless of how easy I took it on the saw it would cut perfectly, then vibrate and ruin a lovely cut. Blade replaced and it's back to doing what it's great at, being a cracking table saw.

Good robust saw, value for the money.
I bought this saw after much consideration around function, footprint and cost. I have been very pleased with the saw so far (just fitted and tested out) The fence system is excellent, accurate and so easy to use. the whole unit feels robust and well made. The model I received is not the one shown or described. The model received is the DW745-GB However as this is the 1850w version not the 1700w,The model delivered also has the flip over fence, which I think is better. All in all I have no complaints on that front. Very little effort to set up and tune, a minor (1mm) adjustment to the measuring tape with the fence being square to the blade and very solid. Delivery was on time and the saw in it's original box with all parts present. The only grumble is the miter gauge, as others have noted it is not up to the standard of the rest of the saw. It is loose in the "T" slot and difficult to read clearly. I will buy another from a specialist but this is the reason for 4 stars not 5, I should not have to do this! Overall well worth it though and I would highly recommend.

Great saw, but not per the photo
Only received it today but I'm already a big fan. Having owned a cheap and nasty saw in the past I have to say that this is a massive step up. Setting it up was dead easy. It was almost spot on accurate straight out of the box. Just the bevel gauge and fence measure very slightly off. Two minutes with a screwdriver sorted that out. One thing purchasers need to be aware of is that the saw I received had a different fence configuration to the one in the picture (and the toolstop video on youtube). The one I received, whilst still the rack and pinion system, doesn't have the adjustment for feeding in or out that the one in the picture has. Mine is the 610mm rip width with a flip over support for wider workpieces. I'm not sure which is the best configuration, but I'm more than happy with the extra ripping width this provides. I bought mine from Amazon via Prime rather than Amazon Marketplace by the way.

T’is a Beast!
WOW! T’is a beast. Upon hearing this monster roar for the first time I felt a little intimidated but quickly realised the controls are quite intuitive. The fence locks solid enough for me to be able to gently pull the saw’s 22kg’s along the kitchen table where it currently resides, the wife now hates me, hehehe. The tilting and lifting mechanism’s for the the blade are easily accessible and can be operated with one hand. The push stick storage space is perfectly positioned on the rear of the fence where it is easily and quickly accessible. The writhing knife seemed at first a little tricky to install but upon visiting the greatest of all instruction manuals, YouTube, I quickly realised it was as simple as loosening a nut by about 5mm and then pushing that nut back in which released a pin and allowed the writhing knife to be slotted into place. This saw gets a huge thumbs up from me and I could easily recommend it to anyone looking quality table saw.

Quality control nonexistent !
Got this saw as I read all the reviews was this saw or the bosch. Package arrived in perfect condition so I had no problems signing for it ( normally I would sign 'unchecked' if the packaging is in anything other than perfect condition. I opened the box everything seem ok until I tried moving the rack and pin ( the reason I choose this over the Bosch ) only to find the cog which operates the rack and pin was knocked behind the bar it moves ( see image ). It was stuck solid, as I need it for a job that day I had to loosen two screws to release the bar to move the cog back in place anyway to make a long story short I contacted Dewalt to see what they would say regarding the warranty. I received a very short response stating my warranty no longer fully covers the saw. My issue is not the warranty because I fixed the issue it's that a saw in this condition was allowed to leave the factory ( even the interior packaging was perfect so it could only have happened before it was boxed ). Is there any other issues with the saw ? If they have no quality control I wouldn't feel safe using anything from default sorry dewalt.

Not too bad, but watch out for the lifting mechanism sticking
I've had this a little over a year, just outside of warranty now, and I've started to have problems with it. The saw raises and lowers on bearings on a smooth rod on one side, and a threaded rod on the other. The bearings on the smooth rod can bind up over time, making it almost impossible to raise and lower. The ideal solution would probably be to clean off any sawdust and use a dry lubricant spray, but if you're stuck you can use regular oil. It'll pick up sawdust even quicker, but it can get into the bearings by working it back and forth, so this works ok to save it if it's hopelessly stuck, like mine was. Outside of the problems, it's reasonably priced for a good quality table saw. My previous one to this was a £100 model which ended up going straight in the bin. It also takes up a very small amount of space, but you can build it into a larger unit pretty easily.
