Xen-Tan Deep Bronze LUXE – A Premium Sunless Long Wearing Tan with Instant Sheer Color – 236ml

This year I did my own testing to find the best of the self-tanning products and this one is IT for me! I have pale skin so the colour of the product is important - it's like applying paint to a blank canvas! So many products come off quite orange - not this one.I have tried many of the major brands at Boots/Superdrug/Space UK (and the like). There have been self sprays: harder to control and the shower gets messy. I have tried colourless lotion that 'won't colour the sheets': most of these are such a pale colour upon application I miss spots and I get a very slight tan, which is a disappointment after spending around £30 on the product!So, Xen-Tan Deep Bronze Luxe has won me over: it's a lotion with a deep, realistic tanning colour so you can see where it is applied and not miss a spot. The smell is vanilla (which I find to be a great scent for summer) and masks any self-tan scent. And I get more comments from this product than anything else I've used: 'Have you been on holiday'? And I've found as it's a thick lotion it absorbs into the skin and fades gradually. Other brands I have tried fades in patches. But the Amazon price is great around £20-£23 and will last for weeks (spray tans at the spas can be £18-£20 a session and this product lasts just as long). It evens washes off my sheets and towels without problems. Can't recommend it enough!

Fake tanaholic. Usually use st Tropez dark foam and was looking for something different. The smell was a lot nicer than my usual, application a little sticky, looks like toffee sauce gel! Didnt take to my hands too well for some reason. Colour nice, just not dark enough for my liking. Would have to apply twice a week. Hence 4 not 5 stars.

I have tried many tans over the years and this is now my firm favourite. It is much easier than a spray as you don't have to worry about it going on to furniture, clothes etc. Lovely smell and dries quicker than I expected from a cream type consistency. I wouldn't agree than it gives an instant tan, as advertised, though this may be my skin type, however, when it has developed, it is fantastic and lasts days. I like to do it twice weekly rather than apply weekly and look faded at the end of the week!Definitely be re-ordering and might try the dark tan lotion next time

Purchased this online, as I always would, expecting to receive the miracle in a bottle I am used to from this brand and this particular line.Nothing on this website or on the packaging when the bottle arrived to suggest the formula has been changed by Xen Tan. Only a tell tale change of colour to the bottle lid - otherwise it's identical.But change the formula they have and for the worse in every way.Gone is the lovely creamy texture with deep colour indicator which guaranteed an even tan with no streaks or missed bits. Now it's much thinner with barely any colour indicator at all.Gone is the lovely earthy olive resulting tan, which is now much much more orange and fake looking.Worst of all this arrived the day before I flew to my friends's wedding so I didn't have an opportunity to find an alternative. I had no option but to take a chance on it and ended up with an awful orange, patchy tan for the wedding day (and I was a bridesmaid - so it'll be captured in all the photos!).I wouldn't recommend this new formula to anyone, which is a terrible shame and really disappointing because this product used to be absolutely magic. Xen Tan, what HAVE you done?

I used to use this product years ago. It is not what it used to be. It is more difficult to apply and doesn't seep into the skin as well as before. The guide colour is not as dark so streaks may occur.I wish the company would revert back to the old formula - was much better.

I was looking forward to trying this but was not great.It was a light greeny colour when applied and if you rubbed too much it clumped together. After sleeping in this all night i got up and washed off and for a supposedly dark tan the colour wasnt very noticble. The only thing i thought was better than most tans was the smell as it didnt have the usual fake tan stink!

Big fan of zen tan and this as to be one of my favourites with the gorgeous smell. Its greta to apply and is comfortable to wear whilst developing Unlike most tans, whuch can feel greasy and sit on uour skin this soaks in as a moistuirser would and gives a gorgeous natural looking tan within hours that's even and leaves your skin feeling gorgeous would definitely recommend socially those who struggl and end up with that orange effect

I have used this product for many years. Good color with an olive undertone. It is best to apply sparingly to avoid streaking. It does stain clothing or upholstery if not allowed to completely dry.

No one knows it's a lotion. Everyone just asks how I stay so tan! Easy to apply and smells amazing!
