The fan might work ok, but the software is on a mini cd, and there isn't an option to download the software from the internet. My laptop isn't old enough to have a CD player, so I don't have any option to enjoy the fan. There are some download links provided by other customers but none of them route to a live website. You'll lose a lot of time/sanity trying to get this gadget to play nice with your computer... I'll just send it back.

Works as expected and programming the message(s) was not difficult. Moves enough air that you can feel it while it's plugged into the USB port of your laptop. Noise is a little bit louder than expected and cannot be used if you are doing a video call from the computer.

Fun toy - for a week or so. Bought two, one for home, one for work. The text display function worked on one of them for a few days, then malfunctioned. One malfunctioned out of the box. Now having two "blank" fans...

This was always going to be a gimmicky little toy. The construction of the neck is nice in that it is easy to bend and yet stays in whatever shape you bend it to, which is nice if you plan to point this thing at your face. The fan blades themselves are made out of some kind of soft plastic. They are a little more rigid than some of the floppy portable fans I have seen for sale in amusement parks, but they are of the same quality. The image comes from LEDs on a flexible PCB ribbon inside one of the blades. But here is where it starts to fall short of even the low expectations I had for it. For some odd reason the USB Type A Male connector is only used for power. You need to use a USB micro connected to the fan head in order to program the fan. I suppose being able to send data to a spinning body would be difficult and add to the cost of the unit, but I have seen it done before by using concentric rings for each USB pin/wire. And I am using the word “program” very loosely. It’s just a message box. That’s it. No other functions. Honestly, all I wanted from it was to tell the time.

This little fan is both functional and fun! The green LED lights make it stand out, and being able to program messages or draw custom designs is such a cool feature. I've had a blast coming up with different messages to display while the fan is running. It's USB-powered, which makes it super easy to use anywhere with a USB port. The breeze it provides is nice and refreshing, perfect for a quick cool down. Just be careful with the blades—they’re not too sturdy. Unfortunately, it stopped working after a few weeks, which was disappointing 😞. It's a great conversation starter and a unique way to keep cool while it lasts.
