Great for improving certain slow-flowing drains
These work great for the proper application. They are for breaking down grime in the drains and pipes. They are NOT for clearing total blockages. They are placed in the drain trap when the water flows - not necessarily well, but flowing. They will eat away at grease and soap blockages. I put them in most of our household drains to improve the flow and prevent build-up in the pipes. They have proven effective at restoring flow from our kitchen drains. (Do NOT put them down the garbage disposal - they have another product for that!) However, I find that I need to replace them about every 2 weeks, not monthly. For lower usage or less problematic drains, monthly may be fine. I've been using them for about 2 months now and my drains are gradually getting more clear. If you have a complete blockage try DISSOLVE Liquid Drain Opener which has worked for me to restore flow in a drain blocked with soapy, greasy black gunk. I think it's the same as GREEN GOBBLER Ultimate Main Drain Opener + Drain cleaner + Hair Clog Remover - 64 oz, but unfortunately EcoClean isn't very forthcoming on the packaging about what exactly is in each product. If you call they are helpful and return calls if you leave a voicemail. I've also used Green Gobbler Drain Opener Pacs which might work if you can get the stuff down the drain but for me it would just foam all over the bottom of the sink and didn't help at all.We also sometimes have shower/tub drains back up due to hair. These won't help much with that - instead I use a needle-nose pliers to grab and pull the hair balls out of the drain. There are also inexpensive hair clog removers if you can't quite reach.Yes, I've tried a bunch of their products due to the previous owners apparently dumping lots of grease down the drains, and these strips work the best for us at keeping the drains flowing.

Easy to dispense; hard to rate efficacy this early.
This item arrived in a timely manner. I have used liquid enzymes to maintain clear drains for a number of years. Based upon my experience since purchase these are far easier to use than liquid and because of that I am more likely to stay with the monthly schedule. This order should last me for 6 months. If no clogs in the next 6 months I will reorder. I plan to physically exam one of the drains to make a determination before reordering.ADDENDUM: My second order of this product. I think I have used these every month for last 5 months. No issues have developed and drains are clearing well. I am still maintaining my 4 Star rating because I have not had an opportunity to actually exam drains.

Removed Toilet Clog
Lemon Scent BIO-Flow Drain Strips | Drain Cleaner & Deodorizer | Garbage Disposal Deodorizer | Sink Drain Cleaner - 24 Drain Strips, 12 count (Pack of 2)For toilet clogs I use a toilet auger similar to the Cobra Products 40030 3/8-Inch by 3-Feet Home Toilet Auger usually available at various places from around $12-20. I've had this for years and it always does the job. Plungers are messy and a waste of time and effort. But I don't expect my wife to use a toilet auger so I decided to try something else for when I'm not around. I received these on Sunday and coincidentally my downstairs toilet became clogged on Monday night. I flushed the toilet so there would be a slow flow of water through the clog and added two sticks to the toilet bowl. After sitting overnight for about 7 hours the toilet was back to normal. Impressed to say the least.

It Works but I used more of the product than described.
I bought this and the septic saver. Both works but the amount to use will depend on how sensitive your smell is. I am allergic to perfum so I notice any odor ASAP. I couldn’t tell if the smells where really from the toilet or drains. I used 2 Bio flow strips in my bathtub, 2 in the sink and 2 in kitchen drain and 1 septic saver in the toilet. After 4 days I repeated the same thing again. Now the smell is gone. Not sure if it makes the toilet flow easily or not, but the smells is gone. Less tiny flies that wander around once in a while in the bathroom and sink area.

Keeps drains clean
Easy to use, very reasonably priced and they seem to work to keep drains flowing nicely. Side benefit is they have helped significantly reduce a summer drain fly problem. My condo community pretty much everyone has issues with drain flies during the summer, 22 year old plumbing and all our units tying into the main line is probably the culprit. Most neighbors just buy the traps - I decided to try to at least attempt to get my share of the drains clean as possible. While I am still getting them they have been reduced quite significantly since I started using the drain sticks as well as regular use of an enzyme style foaming garbage disposal cleaner, I am hoping maybe this summer will be drain fly free.I do go overboard with 2 sticks in each drain (bath sink, bath tub, kitchen sink and washing machine drain) every 2 weeks when my housekeeper comes. With how little these sticks cost I don't mind, my drains drain freely, no smells and it seems to be knocking down the drain fly problem at least in my unit.Recommend. Just a reminder these are for maintenance of drains, not to handle clogs.

Don’t bother
Tried in my bath tub drain. Did exactly the opposite of what it claims to do instead of helping with clogs it clogged my drain. Wouldn’t buy this again. I doubt it breaks down any drain debris hair or otherwise.

Seem to do the job
Super easy to use. Make sure you get it all the way in the drain pipe below any stopper. On bathroom sinks I use the narrow end of a chopstick. FYI, you may notice some drain slowing after inserting for a few days. That is because it is softening up all your gunk. Closing the drain and filling basin with hot water and letting it dump helps with that. Unlike liquid products, these will not eat into your outer drain finish.
