Paxanpax Universal anti-vibration washing machine mat, 600 x 600 x 6 mm Black 74-UN-10

Had to have the Samsung engineer out this week, as my Ecobubble was moving across the kitchen floor and the vibrtion and noise was horrendous. I'd bought this mat after researching online and reading the reviews on Amazon. It arrived the day before the engineer arrived, nicely packaged to protect it and rolled up with secure bands around it to keep it rolled up. The engineer arrived and checked my machine over, then pulled it out of the slot from under the worktop, not much room to manouvre as it's a bit tight between the 2 kitchen units, but he used a couple of thick vinyl strips about like they get your granny out of bed in hospital (if they still use them). Place the mat under the machine, making sure it was dead square, slipped the two vinyl strips underneath the mat and slid the machine back into it's slot. I won't say that was easy, and I would never have been able to do it mainly as I don't have the strength he does, but he managed ok and the machine went back further than it did before which I was pleased with, as it always annoyed me the Ecobubble stuck out from the worktop, so now it's nice and flush. Then we loaded it with half a dozen large towels to check everything and when it reached 1400rpm speed there was no noise, no vibration (apart from a tiny amount in the last minute when it slows the spin down to stop and this will always happen to any machine) and the machine didn't budge an inch. I am over the moon! As my kitchen and lounge is open plan I can now listen to the radio or watch the tv without having to turn the volume up LOUD to hear it over the banging of the washing machine, and without I might add the whole floor vibrating. It's a suspended floor in this property and everything in the kitchen cupboards used to rattle and bang about when the machine went into spin. Which was a case of doing a bit of Strictly Come Dancing to find a bit of floor that helped stop the kitchen items bouncing around. A friend commented it was like doing a weird kind of Cha Cha Cha dahling! Now it's as quiet as a mouse and I don't have to do my terrible dancing around the kitchen. Bliss! I asked the engineer about the fact some buyers had noted that the feet of their machines sink into the mat and would that change it's effectiveness and he said no, that's what's supposed ot happen, as that's what anchors the mat to the floor. So yes it works, you don't need extra anti slip cups to go on the feet, you don't need the blow up cushion that slips beneath the worktop to hold the machine down (which I also bought) you just need this mat!

We've used this under a pump that was fitted sitting on the floor of the airing cupboard, for a shower in the adjoining bathroom. It's definitely made a difference to the noise of the vibration when using the shower! Brilliant.

First thoughts on this product when it arrived in the post were 'how will this thin sheet of rubber ever stop my washing machine from shaking the floorboards throughout the entire house?' Well, it just does! It fits perfectly under my washing machine and is barely visible. I would say that the vibrations and noise have been reduced by at least 80% after using this product. Our house has suspended ground floors and our washing machine sits on a tiled floor. Before I used this product the entire ground floor shook when the washing machine was in the spin cycle. Now we get a much less severe 'rumble' and the noise has also reduced as a result. One thing I will say is that it can be quite difficult to slide the mat under a heavy washing machine, but perseverance is the key! I would suggest that it's a two person job. Overall I would definitely recommend this product.

I bought this mat for 2 reasons, the first was to stop the machine “walking” out of the gap in my kitchen. It definitely does that really well as it hasn’t moved an inch since we first started using it a couple of weeks ago. The second reason was because of the noise of our washing machine… It is incredibly loud and the mat has made zero difference to this unfortunately!! Installation was a bit of nightmare… in the end we put the mat in the gap under the counter and gradually shifted the washing machine inch and inch on to it. Tricky if there’s not a lot of room to play with. It probably took us about 20 minutes to get it just right and fortunately, we don’t plan to move it again any time soon. So if you’re buying this mat to stop your washing machine moving, then it’s great… if you’re buying it to reduce the noise levels, then don’t bother!

Great product helps the machine from vibration

Recently moved into a first floor flat with laminate flooring in the kitchen. Noticed my washing machine was shaking on spin and extremely loud, despite being perfectly level. The oven next to the washing machine was also vibrating loudly during the spin cycle! Worried my neighbour below could hear it so I had a look for solutions and this appeared to be a good choice. Reviews were balanced so I ordered it. It’s robust, clearly well-made and as described. It was a little tricky to fit under my washing machine but only because the washing machine sits under a counter. However, I used a little WD40 which allowed me to slide the mat under the counter with the washing machine on top. Tried it out immediately putting a load on and the oven no longer vibrates loudly during the spin cycle. I bought a second mat to put under the oven, in case the one under the washing machine wasn’t enough but it is and I haven’t had to use the second one. The washing machine is much steadier than before and I’d say there’s a 70% improvement in noisy & movement during the spin cycle. I’m really pleased with the results. I now feel comfortable putting loads on late at night or early in the morning. Also, I’m going to cut the excess mat away now it’s fitted. This mat is definitely worth the money. A 70% improvement is more than I hoped. If your machine is under a counter, place the washing machine on the mat first then try a little WD40 on the floor under the counter and slide it in.

It’s sturdy but doesn’t help with vibrations

Le tapis en lui même est anti dérapant. Dans la boite de transport, le tapis été fendu de 10 cm. Dommage, mais il fait son travail.
