Couldn't have done the job without it.
[Update 2nd Aug 23: Forgot to mention that an SD card is required to store images. These are very cheap and mean images and video can be reviewed with colleagues etc. I could have done the job without one as I was routing cables but had a spare card available.]I'd previously tried a borescope that should have linked to my mobile but gave up after a lot of wasted time trying to get it working. The excellent quality built in screen on this model meant I was up and running in minutes from opening the box.Good user interface and sturdy physical buttons. More than adequate live viewing, photo and stored video quality for my needs. There is one photo taken on my mobile showing the unit and pole set-up I used for some hard to reach areas and another of the hook accessory. All the other images uploaded are from the device and are taken from very inaccessible areas up to 5m away. The 5m flexible cable is quite stiff but also easy to manipulate and bend to shape as required. The camera head is very durable. Initially I protected the accessory thread when pushing the camera through holes in masonry by putting masking tape on it but in the end I decided it wasn't necessary. The hook attachment made pull through of cable very easy nearly 5m away using a guide pole and reduced need to moving insulation or risk damage to ceilings I did try the 90 deg mirror to inspect a cavity wall but didn't find that accessory very helpful, a dual camera set-up would be better for that.Battery life was around 25 mins. Built-in lighting very good, ideal for inspecting voids. The depth of field is excellent from a cm to several metres. If you can get extra light on the area then image quality is even better.Highly recommend. Great value for money, easy to use and very good technical performance at this price point.

Better than expected.
This has exceeded my expectations at the price. I have used inspection cameras that either connect directly or via WiFi to a smartphone. Yes, they are cheaper but not as good, in my opinion. The camera cable is far to flexible on those. This one will bend to the desired shape and still be flexible enough if necessary. Image is good, I would question it's resolution though. Rechargeable battery built in and I like that it is still useable if connected to a small powerbank.Fairly intuitive to operate etc. without needing the instruction leaflet. Pictures and videos saved to a micro s.d. card if desired. May be viewed onscreen or transferred to a p.c..Some accessories included, screw on too. Good luck getting them back into the plastic tube! Take note prior to removing. I have the "protector" permanently fitted to the camera.Comes with a charging cable and file transfer cable.I would have preferred that the cable and camera were removable, e.g. using a screw on plug connector at the device end. I suspect that will be the weak point, where the cable exits the device. Not too sure about the colour. Yellow buttons, yes, but yellow highlights? For the price, very good.

Does the job
Does the job, reasonable quality, reasonable picture. It is not directionable but worth the money. Take a punt.

Buy this rather than a wifi linked endoscope
Originally bought for work to check on some plumbing pipe work, since used to help remove a turbocharger from my camper van. Paid for itself within a few hours, good clear screen and easy to use, fast enough to recharge the battery.I have previously used the type that link to your phone via wifi and they were very lagging in updating the image and the signal was often lost, and a smaller phone screen to look at.This unit has very little to no lag in updating the onscreen image and only one item to remember to charge up. I was using it in extremely tight spots and found it useful to use cable ties to secure the camera end to stop the camera from moving as I was constantly moving tools around within the vicinity of the tiny work area and knocking it.The added option of saving images (and maybe videos) to an sd card (not included) was a bonus but I’ve not used that feature as yet.I rarely do reviews but this is worthy of one.

Good little inspection camera
Purchased the camera to help with some riveting work on an aeroplane wing. It was difficult to gauge that the metal bucking block was being held in the correct position in order to rivet. This device enabled viewing of the block plus also inspection of the made rivets after. It was very useful, especially being able to take pictures onto a memory card. Pictures were bright although to be fair also used extra inspection lights in the wing. Cables was stiff to enable posing the device in order to free up both hands. Delighted with purchase and price. Recommended.

very useful for checking in tight spots
I recently was routing some data cables around my hose and needed to drill a hole through a floor - but know the gas pipe to the boiler was close ( I could see the pipe). What I couldnt see was if there were any cables/pipes in the floorspace where I was drilling - also my pipe/cable detector wasnt givign an accurate reading because of nearbly cables and metal pipes. I was able to make a small hole in the ceilign below and then used this tool to check that there were no pipe and cable below wheer I was planning to drill a hole. This camera proved fantastic !!!. I also used this for routing data cables through stud walls - being able to see pipes or electric cables between the timber studs meant I would be more certain it was safe to drill through and also fix surface boxes. Brilliant tool , very useful !!

Lights packed up
Whilst it worked the unit was good. Have owned for less than 5 months and the illumination has given up. Whilst the camera still works, without the lights functioning, it is not a lot of use.

Good quality product at a cheap price
Had an outside drain that was blocked and didn’t know if it had collapsed or not, so bought this to inspect the pipe and found it had just filled with rocks and sludge. For £40 this was a bargain and saved me digging up my driveway. The picture quality is really good and the battery life lasts along time. Not complicated at all to use and you can put a micro SD card in the device to take pictures. Overall really happy!
