I suffer from alopecia areata and although it's hidden, it can do a number on my self confidence. I was looking for a shampoo and conditioner for thinning hair that would be great for my scalp. From the first time I used Biota, I felt like I had a new head of hair. You don't need much of the shampoo to get a nice lather, paraben and sulfate free. It smells great and my hair felt much less "cottony" and softer. I follow with the conditioner and unlike any other conditioner I've tried, you're supposed to start at the roots, massage into your scalp and throughout your hair. I leave it in for about two minutes. There's an incredible difference! My hair is so much easier to brush through, (with a wet brush), and the softness and shine is amazing! My hair is fuller, healthier, my scalp doesn't itch and all I need is a blow dryer- no smoothing styling tools required. My hairdresser was impressed with this when I brought it to the salon. I wanted her to use it on me because I love it so much. She said she has a client with VERY thin hair and was going to tell her about it. That says a lot coming from a professional stylist. She couldn't get over how soft, smooth and shiny my hair was. Love it and plan to keep using it. I know it's doing some good and my hair looks much better!

I really appreciate this shampoo. I have a long history of strong allergy reactions to scented products pretty much across the board. Almost all shampoos give me hives and difficulty breathing. I keep having to change brands as either my allergies change or product formulations change. This shampoo isn't unscented but has a formula that doesn't tickle my current allergies. I also enjoy the way it leaves my hair feeling clean and silky. I started losing less hair due due to breakage since I switched too.

Since my post- surgical, dramatic hair loss, I've tried EVERYTHING. Born with baby- fine hair to begin with, well, it was an "unacceptable" look for me, thus my quest for legit hair growth aids. Doubtful a shampoo could make a difference I nonetheless incorporated it into my routine, using it 2-3 x a week. Meh, nothing noticeable. Started using it daily and i'm truly astonished at what seems both the faster growth AND number of actual hairs. 6 months daily and even my stylist commented on the faster, fuller growth (she knew nothing @ my changing shampoos). I'm a dark blonde with lighter highlights and, yes, it may eventually dull me up. We have horrid, hard water to begin with so rotating through a chelating shampoo weekly (or so) was already included in my routine and that keeps me bright and shiny, too! I can't possibly attest that this will work for everyone, but once I gave it a REAL go, it's proven it's efficacy on me! LOVE IT ... and I've tried everything.

I've been using this shampoo for several months. My hair is in better condition now, softer, and it does feel a little thicker. I've noticed that my shedding has decreased, and my hair loss has noticeably slowed. I noticed less shedding in the first week of use, and the amount of shedding has been pretty consistent since about the second week. As we all know, if you can reduce the shedding enough, your new hair growth will catch up and you'll be able to (hopefully) maintain what you have. This product has helped me quite a bit to be honest. This isn't a miracle cure by any means, but it DOES help and for that I'm very thankful. It's definitely worth buying. Shedding has stayed about the same once reduced, so my hair had gotten a little thicker. I then added a vitamin supplement, Natrol Biotin 10,000 mcg (10 mg) Maximum Strength (which is honestly nothing more than folic acid and B6). Now that I've added the vitamin supplement about three months later I am ACTUALLY GROWING HAIR! I should post the before and after pics, but don't have them on this computer. It's VERY noticeable. It's literally twice as thick as it was, and before I had almost bare scalp in the front/center. I now have hair there! Can still see the scalp a little, but it's workable and getting better every week. The combination of the two seems to do the trick. I can't believe this is actually working! HAPPY HAPPY!!

I stopped using this shampoo after about a week. It was nice and tingly at first, but after about a week it started making my hair fall out. I am not chancing it anymore. As far as I know, it does not do this to my sister. I am giving my bottle to her.

I haven't noticed any difference in growth and haven't seemingly lost any more hair, which had stabilized before trying this product. owever, at the price, it's not any more than a regular quality shampoo, so, what the heck? Some hair products are very expensive and promise growth. This product is the price of a bottle of quality shampoo in any department store. Why Not?

Bought this first at a pharmacy, not sure if it would work I bought soooo many shampoos, conditioner, mousse, sprays and treatments that never worked. I was about to give up and just buy a freakin wig! I've been using the shampoo and the matching conditioner for about a month. My hair feels wonderful. even my hairdresser said my hair is so much healthy now. I take both to my hairdresser instead of using their shampoo. Follow the directions, a little REALLY goes a long way, I suds up leave the shampoo on my hair 2-3 minutes, rinse, condition massaging into the spots that are thin and let it set for 3-4 minutes. I am seeing a fullness that I didn't have before, I also started taking 10,000 unit of Biotin twice a day, this B vitamin encourages hair growth. The directions says to use daily, I don't every two days seems to do the trick. But this is the first product I am encourage by so much so I decided to do the auto ship so I don't run out. I wish the conditioner was also a auto ship. Just as a note the price is much better on amazon.
