Schott Zwiesel 112421 Pure Series 6-Piece Burgundy Red Wine Glass Set, Crystal Glass

I love the Pure range. Sturdy and sexy glasses that feel great in your hand. We started off with the red wine glasses and were so impressed with the quality and feel of them that we upgraded all our glasses to match. They are super sturdy - i saw them displayed in a shop where two ball bearings would bang on either side of the glass and they don't break. I accidentally dropped one on my slate tiles, i managed to break the fall slightly and when it hit the ground it didn't break! I was in total shock! Extra benefit, in true crystal form they also 'diinnggg' when you cheers! :-)

Beautiful shape - really enhances the enjoyment of the wine. The larger 'Pure' Cabernet glasses are also stunning, but these are slightly more practical for everyday use (as they are smaller and easier to store / wash). Although these are advertised as Sauvignon Blanc glasses, they work well for red or white. Good value and a fantastic product.

These are top glasses, you cannot go wrong and they are great for red or white. They allow you to appreciate the nose of the wine and they feel really light in the hand. Superb quality, no sharpness around the base of the glass and they stay in as new condition so long as you don't put them in the dishwasher.

I always find an excuse to use these massive glasses, and everyone always comments on how impressive they look and how great they feel in the hand. They are made from fairly resistant crystal, and are ideal both for swirling around and for nosing, with the wine's aromas very much amplified by the beautiful shape of the glass. But best of all is their friendly price, which places them way ahead of the competition. PS. I also recommend the Schott riesling glasses for dinner parties/larger groups. These are a very decent size and can very well be used as all purpose glasses, for all white and red wines.

Bought a set of 6 of these glasses, a bit light for whisky tumblers as I prefer a bit of weight but they are really nicely made and a classic shape. They might be a bit fragile however I've not had any broken yet. Overall I'm pleased with them.

Having drunk brandy from various shot or wine glasses in the past, drinking and savouring the aroma from a proper snifter such as this makes the whole experience that much more pleasurable. I'm really pleased I bought these.

Have had a set of these for years and inevitably over time a few have got broken so decided to order a new set, they arrived today and very disappointed to find the shape had been changed and the lovely heavy base which I really liked has been made lighter. Such a shame not nearly as good as before.

I'm more than a little obsessed with my wine glasses. The perfect glass should have a thin-lipped bowl that is smooth, nice balance so it's not top heavy, and a nice elegant design. I have owned all of the higher end brands including Riedel, Schott, Spiegelau and each have their own virtues. The difficulty always is finding the balance between function, durability and value, as good wine glasses can be very expensive. It's a bummer when you knock over a $40 glass and it breaks, and a pain when you have to wash them by hand. That's why everyone needs good every day wine glasses that are durable and dishwasher safe! These glasses check all the boxes and are really elegant looking. At $16/glass they are a great value. I have only run them through the dishwasher once and it will be interesting to see what they look like in a year after hundreds of washings. In the meantime, I would highly recommend these wine glasses!

Turns out that these were a larger than what I thought I was ordering but I will still use them. I love the fact that the bowl part of the glass is less likely to break but unfortunately the stems do break easily, that is why I had to order another set.

Ces verres sont encore une fois à la mesure de la marque, un verre fin, agréable en bouche, d'une solidité remarquable, et surtout malgré une utilisation intensive et un lavage au lave vaisselle ils ne ternissent pas, j'ai testé d'autres marques qui devenaient relativement vite opaques au lave vaisselle, mais le tritan glass de Zwiesel donne l'impression d’empêcher les dépôts de calcaire sur le verre. Leur forme est généreuse mais vient naturellement dans la main, c'est une marque et un modèle que je recommande.
