Great head-unit, perfect for a retro fit where bluetooth audio and a screen are needed. Audio quality miles better than OEM unit. Call quality via bluetooth is excellent too.

Fitted this unit to my BMW Z4 E85 2006 when the standard head unit became faulty and to add functionality of Bluetooth for music streaming and phone calls. No problems with fitting and I like all the functions and the option of using my phone apps with the unit such as navigation using the app radio option. The only annoying problem I had was that when I put a DVDs in the unit it played fine but refused to eject from the unit using the eject button. I tried resetting the unit, removing from power all to no avail and I thought I would have to return it as defective then I thought of emailing the manufacturer Pioneer. They asked me to try resetting plus a combination of button presses as the unit has a DVD eject block available for when it is in demo mode to prevent use of buttons. I do not know why this was activated at the factory and I don't think my unit was an ex demo, but this worked and all is fine now.

I am very disappointed that this radio does not have DAB. Most modern radios now have DAB. This allows the radio to search for a wide range of radio stations. Such as capital extra, KISS. This also enables the radio to search for groups of music such as 80s, 90s, or any year, R&B, Rock, Dance etc. I feel i have down graded my radio due to the fact this does not have DAB. However, you can buy a DAB adapter. Its difficult knowing which one is compatible. This can be expensive. It also sticks out. The more discreet the higher the price. I now reaslise how much i used to use the DAB on my previous radio and thats why i give this radio a rating of 2.I was not happy that this does not come with steering wheel connectors, so i cannot work my radio from the steering wheel until i buy conectors and have them installed.I had a double din pioneer in my previous car. It was similar but so much better. This came with DAB and steering wheel connectors.The colours on the screen were nicer. The colours on this screen are more dull on this radio. More suitable for men. There is red, blue, yellow, green and grey for your back ground on both radios but the blue was a brighter, wheras the blue in this radio not so bright with a hint grey. Not pretty for girls. Unfortunately my new car does not fit a double din in.One day i will buy a DAB adapter and it means taking it to a garage to get it installed, it will be costly.Everything else about the radio i like, has really good sound. It automatically connects to blue tooth but you have to oress the connection icon to connect to Spotify when you are in the Spotify option.

Good day,I bought a Pioneer AVH x7800bt (directly from Amazon UK and not through a 3rd party) unit about a month ago but I have been experiencing a major problem. Every time I am on the road, the unit keeps freezing and rebooting suddenly. Received with no remote, appears to not be DAB. If selecting network mode by mistake, need a bypass to restore settings and select standard mode, so can do front and rear balance. Need to buy additional cables / adaptors. Good if it all works.
