I had the older thermostat version and the screws from the electrical box didn’t line up. It’s more secure now with the addition of the wall plate.

The product fits my T5 smart thermostat. The mounting holes fits with the existing holes of the old thermostat so no drilling needed. Installation was done in about 15 minutes. I think the material is solid and fits well on the wall.

This product came with no instructions, which is totally ridiculous. I couldn't figure out how to fit on the wall, also the uwp would not fit flat in this bracket. Will buy another set from a different supplier.

If we wanted to do this the way the install intended on the T9 thermostat, we would have to patch the wall, paint, etc. This plate perfectly fit the existing holes and covered the area that was unpainted with the previous thermostat. The original thermostat was not level. The play in this kit was perfect to level the display. It looks like we paid a professional to do this install but this kit was relatively inexpensive. I strongly recommend this for any Honeywell T9 thermostat install.

This trim panel is the perfect size for the Honeywell thermostat. This covers up the existing holes from previous thermostat installation and prior poor paint job. Definitely recommend as a "must buy" in association with the Honeywell thermostat

Purchased this item to be used with a Honeywell thermostat model RTH8560D as advertised. It does not fit.
