Great screw, coated, uses 'torx' head. 3/4" is great for thin stuff
This type of hex head fastener, commonly referred to as Torx, are probably easier to use than the common 'phillips' type head or the less popular outdated flat fastener head. These are coated and also have a sort of drill bit type design which means you may not need to pre-drill depending on the material you are fastening. Also, these appear to made of less brittle material as the formerly popular 'dry wall' screws which could break during installation. FWIW, they appear to be the standard T25 head. The coating is intended to protect them from the elements (rust). I have not used them long enough to verify this, but they definitely appear coated.Mine came with two T25 'bits' for driving these, which may not really be that useful if you've done a lot of these but may be helpful if your new to the torx game. These fit standard 1/4" drivers/drills/handles. Be aware, these fasteners are the 3/4" length variety which may or may not meet your needs. For better or worse, there's no shoulder area on these and if you're doing hard materials you may want to countersink. For drywall and soft woods that may not be necessary.
