Good moisturising soap. I have used several different melt and pour bases from Stephenson range. I have been pleased with all of them. This time I decided to try the goats milk one. I purchased this for my 5yr old granddaughter to make Christmas gifts, she absolutely loved making the soaps using silicone moulds. Obviously I did the melting part using a jug in the microwave, my granddaughter then chose to mix some organic lavender flowers into the mixture before she poured it into her chosen moulds. We had to return it to the microwave a couple of times as it does soon begin to set, however we did not consider this to be an issue especially considering the joy and satisfaction she got from making her gifts.

We used this melt and pour goat’s milk soap base earlier today and it was great. It melted smoothly, was easy to work with, and set nicely without any issues. The finished soap feels lovely and looks really good, which is always reassuring when you’re trying something like this. It didn’t have any odd smell and took colour and fragrance well, making the whole process straightforward and enjoyable. If you’re making soap at home and want something easy to use with good results, this is a solid choice and we’d happily use it again.

This is coming from a person with extremely sensitive skin (with a child who has inherited my sensitivity) and allergic to almost everything. Yes I am that person who stands in a shop for a good few minutes or so reading ingredients of a product I might buy, incase it has something I or my son will react to in. This. Soap. Is. Amazing. I mixed a small amount in with a spoon full of honey and a couple of drops of chamomile and rose oil. It melted quite quickly and the oils and honey mixed in without an issue. After a bathe my skin was left feeling silky smooth and well nourished, its been a long time since Ive used a natural soap, usually because they cost too much, although this is a fair price for how much you get, but wow, my skin actually felt hydrated and refreshed. Now my son had a juice rash up his stomach from learning to drink from a cup before the bath, it was very red and seemed to be bothering him. After bathing the rash had reduced alot, his skin was left feeling silky soft, and my son in himself seemed perkier and happier than he usually does after baths (weve had many issues with reactions to soaps). So to sum It up. Totally recommended. Easy make, easy mix and dashing results, couldnt fault it. Picture was one of my small test batches containing honey, essential oils and ground up hemp seeds and they came out really good.

I've completely changed my opinion of this melt and pour crystal soap base. I purchased it as a more budget option to replace my pricier goat's milk soap. It's great value for money as I have made several soap bars (I made a few mistakes along the way!) at a fraction of the cost of buying individual bars. It lathers reasonably well ( I don't find it to be a highly foaming soap) and I love the fact that it doesn't leave residue in my basin as it is a glycerine based product. I have sensitive dry skin and am not allergic to this soap. A couple of negatives are that there is a fairly long ingredients list to this soap base and it is definitely not as moisturising as my favourite goat's milk soap if made with nothing added. However you can add your favourite oils to the soap base and I found that sweet almond or olive oil plus my favourite blended essential oils have made a lovely product. I have experimented with skin safe water soluble colour which worked well and am thinking of trying other mica based colours too. It's so easy to use that my 11 year old kid and I made some soaps together. I have just purchased the aloe vera organic crystal soap base from the same brand as it has a lot fewer ingredients and am looking forward to making a lot more soaps.

First of all, what a fantastic delivery time - ordered it yesterday afternoon and it turned up this morning. This is a lovely creamy soap base, very kind on the skin and suitable for all the family. I've been using it for years and find it easy to work with. I am making a big batch of soaps to give out as Christmas presents as I am skint this year. I have a batch of scented oils already so this will make a lovely homely, and most importantly in these austere times, cheap gift which is made with love and good intentions. I'll put the soaps in sisal bags which can be used as body scrubbers, and they can hang up in the shower. Lovely jubbly.

I wanted to try out making my own bathing soap and I got this base. It is easy to melt, smells great and is gentle on my skin.
