TAMIYA 300078007 US CVN-65 Enterprise Aircraft Carrier Model, 1:350 Scale

Great build, everything fits together like a glove with very little flash or warping as you’d expect from tamiya, the only issue is it’s an old kit, no photo etch, no deck decals, and a small air wing 5 different aircraft but you do get x8 of each kind, after market is pretty decent but all depends how much your wanting to spend, I put about £50 into a new air wing from trumpeter, I was going to buy the photo etch for the kit from Eduard but £100 on top of what I had already spent put me off, also there’s an after market hanger bay you can buy for about £100, however I went with scratch building my own which was fun! The kits worth more than 5 stars!

Excellent , will take a lot of tic

The kit is magnificent. The few negative reviews are pathetic,"instructions got wet", "no glue or paint", etc. 90% of kits have no glue or paint. Some people are big babies and expect the earth for their money. They should take up watching the tide come and go, leave modelling to modellers. Having said all that I shall really enjoy building a superb ship . The sheer size of this ship,it dwarfs even Hood and Bismarck, which were whoppers in their day,Enterprise is gigantic.1005 mm. So I say this to the one and two star merchants, DONT BUY THIS SHIP AND MISS OUT ON SOMETHING THAT THE REST OF US ENJOY TREMENDOUSLY.

Couple broken sprues, decals were creased in the box and one of the deck pieces were warped but overall it is building in to a nice kit. The screws and metal brackets are made of a very weak metal and the screws were shredded mid way in to the holes. I've had to drill them and leave them out. Also the big letdown for me is it isn't as big as it says, that size includes all the antenna's and sticky out bits so it's a lot smaller than you think.

This kit is so so big I'll need to pay harbour fees lol Tamiya at its very very BEST quality is second to none

It is a old kit The moulding is still good, that was so much you can do with this kit. you can converted it to RC . Put lighting in in , as so many models have done.

Challenging

Tengo que decir que ha llegado perfecto. Con todos los precintos y una presentación que Revell debería de imitar, cuando un modelo es premium es premium en todo. El material es muy bueno, a pesar de ser un modelo antiguo. Muy bien por Amazon y por Tamiya por haber desarrollado un modelo así. Es mi primer modelo de Tamiya. Así repetiré sin duda.

Que dire le plus grand porte avion du monde en modélisme. Une merveille au 1/350 avec quel défaut a corriger et a voir pour l'achat de nouveaux avion il sera parfait

I retired earlier this year after operating my business for 36 years. Decided to to built model ships as a full time hobby, bringing back memories of the teenage years. Have purchased a number of model ships from Amazon over the past few months. The aircraft carrier USS Enterprise was the best!! Over 40 inches long and great detail. Very well priced and fast delivery time. Would strongly recommend purchasing this model, lots of fun to build and huge in size when complete! Thankyou, Al.
