They are not fake. They are just made with slave labour.

Q: how do i fit the varta 4230 to my watchman oil sensor - the one actually in the tank?

Unscrew by hand the black sensor on the top of the tank, take it back to the plug in reader inside the house, turn off plug in reader. On the sensor undo 4 screws and gentle pull apart you will see the batteries, remember the way the old batteries go in (which way up). Replace and put together. Hold sensor and the reader together and turn on, you will see a black dot on the sensor touch that against the plug-in-reader until you get a connection. screw it back on the top of your oil tank. PS if it's raining cover the hole up on the top of your oil tank whilst your refitting the batteries. Hope that helps.

Q: could you advise use by date?

Sorry, I just installed mine, I didn't check to see if there was one. That was about a year ago in a Roberts clock radio about 2003 vintage that came from a charity shop. It keeps the digital clock going when not plugged in. Still working

I like most of you have purchased so many batteries off Amazon and eBay and if you are like me you may have noticed that no matter which batteries you buy be it from a recognised brand name or a obscure name you have never heard of they never seem to last as long as the batteries that came with your product.I purchased these two pack of CR2 batteries back on the 16th July 2022. It is now the 20th November 2022 and I need to buy more as they are both dead.Did they work? YesDid they last? well I guess that is subjective. I had one battery in a disc alarm for my motorbike at a time. the disc alarm isnt always sounding off but like with anything with a battery there will be a natural drain.The original battery lasted 3 years these batteries lasted 2 months each.
