Q: What kind of lamp shade can you use with these? I'm a tenant in a rented property and have just discovered that my lamp shades won't fit - thanks!

Most lamp shades will be rated with a maximum wattage ie max 100w, this is relation to the heat from old fashioned lamps which would get very hot and there would be a chance of scorching the lamp shade. As these are very low wattage and do not give off lots of heat, most lamp shades should be ok with them, but it's worth double checking the shade itself.

Fluorescent lamps can be temperature sensitive in colder weather. You may want to consider changing to an LED as technology has improved greatly.
