Gastritis Pains gone!
I’ve had annoying mild gastritis for around 2 months now. PPI’s have helped a bit but wow - Day 2 of this mixed with camomile tea and manuka honey and there’s no pains any more in my abdomen!!!Highly highly recommend.

Used to soothe tum problems
I have waited a few weeks before writing the review as I wished to monitor the effects of the slippery elm powder. To date I have found the actual powder easy to mix into a paste - initially with milk- and then topped up with hot water. At times , I add organic honey to add a sweetness to the cuppa. I have previously used another companies slippery elm powder so I am confident that I can draw truthful conclusions from my experience of using both purchases. This particular make is easy to mix and tastes pleasant. For soothing my tum problems , I would say this slippery elm takes longer to resolve my tum problems.I am taking the slippery elm drink last thing in the evening to coat the stomach. I personally would say this particular slippery elm powder may be needed to be used more than once a day, in order to resolve my tum problems. I would perhaps recommend this product for those who wish to have a soothing healthy drink in place of teas etc.

Something's wrong
I should have read the poor reviews - I have used slippery elm for years but this is the first time I have used this particular product and I feel something is wrong with it. It is darker than I am used to and does not mix to a gelatinous gloop as it should. The taste was also different. As I use SE to soothe a sore gut I was not prepared to give it a try and threw away the first mix. I shall not be using the remainder of the pot but as it was so expensive I shall try to return the remains as not fit for purpose. UPDATE - I complained to the seller and got excellent service. They acknowledged that although safe and useable the product was not up to standard and they sent me a pot of a new batch which I am happy to give 5* to. Mixed well, lighter in colour, gloopy and tasted better so will certainly buy again.

Did what Gaviscon couldn't!
This has helped soooo much. I had extremely bad reflux and antacids from the chemist just weren't touching it. I give my dog tree barks (which includes slippery elm) at times, so wondered whether slippery elm could help me. This worked immediately and has given be the first comfortable few weeks I've had in a long time.Taking this won't mean can stop taking care with what and when I eat, but now that actually makes a difference.I saw a review describes the powder as dark: This is not what mine looks like - It is as it appears in the picture. I have not found it overly grainy and responds as I would expect the inner bark to when mixed with water. There is a negative comment about the taste. I actually like the smell and taste, and ok it doesn't look massively attractive. If you are particularly adverse to this sort of herbal taste it can be mixed with something that has a flavour you like.Only one dosing protocol is described on the jar (morning / evening - empty stomach), but apparently some people benefit from taking it differently (e.g. a little while after eating). It isn't any good for bacterial infections/overgrowth.It can be soothing for sore throats.Slippery elm can be mixed to make a face pack and wound treatment too.Unfortunately it can't be used to help pregnancy related digestive issues, such as reflux.Don't take at the same time as medications.

Mmmmmm
Stars for product being exactly as described and mixes as described. Arrived perfectly and is what it is. Taste disgusting but don’t care if works. Mixes as they say if you stir with fork and use small amount of water to mix. However, from my point it does NOT ease oesophagitis not even slightly. It does not smooth its way down or coat the oesophagus on its way down. I’m half way through tub and I will finish because I am desperate. My review no reflection on the product but its healing qualities. This is not an expensive item.

Very poor quality
Order 1 (100g Box): Excellent. Pale, light-tan colour, mixed perfectly. Noticeably helped with gut issues.Order 2 (500g Pouch): Awful. Dark brown colour, wouldn't mix at all. Refused to try. Refunded by Amazon.Order 3 (100g Box): Poor. Dark brown colour, mixed poorly with visible lumps. Continued use for a few days until a substitute arrived. Not anywhere near as effective for gut issues. Refund pursued.Order 4 (250g Box): Poor. Same as order 3. Refund pursued.Inner Bark is a pale, light-tan colour, whereas Outer Bark is a dark brown colour. Inner Bark is the "good stuff". This tells us that the products I, and many others received, were not "100% Pure Inner Bark" as advertised.
