Good and quick solution
Does what it is meant to I found. Good alternative to having one wired up. I've had to change batteries after 3 weeks, fair enough though. I've seen reviews saying sensor only worked if you were directly under it, I found this until I worked out that once you've used the adjustment dials, you need to rotate the switch unit to hide the switches, which then leaves the sensor pointing in the right direction so it works just fine. Sets off the sensor from about 8 metres I reckon. Pretty bright, especially when the batteries are new. It has managed all the bad weather thrown at it, and I've got mine mounted on a 11 foot pole. Really can't complain, good value.

Power drain too quickly
The light itself looks nice, looks well built and I had no problem with fixing the light up on a wall . You do have to put two small holes in the back plate but that's nothing major . Now my only criticism is that because it takes AA batteries my one does not seem to last very long within 1 1/2 to 2 weeks the light is already dim and within three weeks the batteries have drained totally. I have tried many different types of batteries and industrial types of batteries that are meant to last longer but I think because of the AA batteries the light just not last very long . This might be just my light, other people may have more success but I have found that within 2 to 3 weeks the lights dead so I'm going to have to place it somewhere that it doesn't really get used much . I have another light similar which takes c Type batteries and that lasts me a lot longer which is used just as much, so I would in the future go for one of type c or d Type batteries.

Good security light.
Really good product, easy to install gives very good illumination and coverage. I am unable to comment on battery life as haven't had the product long enough. Used to illuminate footpath and steps to our front door, does the job very well. Update to this review having had the light installed for about 6 weeks the battery life is poor as they now need replacing. Obviously this time of year is high usage but expected a little bit longer battery time.

Very bright, good battery life
I've had mine running on rechargeable Eneloop NiMH batteries for over four months in the Danish autumn and winter (MANY hours of darkness) and haven't recharged the batteries yet. It is in an area with very little traffic where it probably only lights up once or twice a day for 60 seconds each time, but the sensor is on constantly so I am impressed with the battery life. The light has lost a little intensity as the batteries have been used but is still nearly as bright as when the batteries were fresh. With fresh batteries the light is surprisingly powerful, especially in total darkness. I am sure that it is bright enough to act as a deterrent to burglars who will feel as if they are caught in a spotlight. I screwed mine to a timber beam under a roof overhang so can't say how well it resists heavy rain. The fact that there are two independently adjustable LED floodlights is very useful -- you get a good spread of light in two directions.

Disappointed
Although the overall build quality of the product was OK and the light output as viewed in daylight was OK, I was unfortunate to receive a faulty product where the battery box would not remain engaged with the light housing. The two retaining lugs would not properly engage. I returned the item and was given a speedy refund. I would consider buying another and hope all was OK.

Uses a lot of batteries
AMAZING LIGHTS........ perfect for my small garden!!Because anything sets them off......... they use a lot of batteries, even with the sensitivity adjusted. After a year or 2 the battery compartment springs break off.... you cannot buy just a new compartment, so its new lights!!!

Good size came quickly but...
Light itself it good but the mounting plate was no good at all, we had to fashion a plinth from some wood in the garden, the positioning was weird, I expected there to be a good sized plate in the box.

Appears quite good
Packaging and delivery time good. The back plate needs to be drilled into to attach this light to a wall. Takes 6 AA batteries not supplied. I purchased Duracell extra power. Timer and sensor buttons. Activated (60 seconds to remain on but you can alter to power the sensor to be on for far less.Time will tell if this product lives up to wear. Most lights like these tend to see water get in as wind and rain goes in all directions. The product comes with a standard 12 mth guarantee.
