Not the cheapest but definitely the best.
I bought these batteries mainly for use in my digital cameras. Normal rechargeable batteries tend to discharge very quickly even when turned off. I have an old Pentax ist DL which is really fussy with any type of AA batteries. These however work perfectly and even after not using the camera for a while it just works. The other type of batteries would be dead even after a short while.I have been using these for quite some time now and I am happy to report that they still charge quickly and crucially hold their charge.Although they aren't the cheapest I think that they are far better value than the cheaper rechargeable options.I now have purchased a couple more packs, and use them in pretty much anything that requires an AA battery with no issues.

Worth it. But of course try to find them cheaper.
I purchased these on the 1st Sep 2015, but i thought I'd leave giving a review until i had got good use out of them across various devices from my wireless gaming mouse to my sky+hd remote, and the results are truely awesome i have to say!So I finally bit the bullet and decided to stump up the extra to buy these instead of the duracell and some other brands that I'd been getting much cheaper. I have to say that the difference in extra life of use you get from these from fully charged, compared to the duracell and others, is like night and day.A good example to give you folks here is my wireless gaming mouse, which takes one AA battery (and can be recharged form the USB cable) and is heavily used. With the duracell rechargeable batteries i had been using, i was getting around 4 days use from my wireless gaming mouse and i rarely turned it off.Now get this, with these eneloop batteries, my wireless gaming mouse being used the same way, hardly being switched off, now lasts WEEKS before I've had to recharge the eneloop battery. I can't be sure of exactly how long, but it has been weeks now anyway. Now bear in mind, this is a gaming mouse, not a regular mouse, and because it is used for gaming, there's vastly more clicking and moving going on with it than you would do normally just using your desktop, so the fact these batteries really do just keep going and going and going, is AWESOME!So to anyone looking at these batteries and thinking, that's a bit steep for battries, trust me, the batteries are worth it.I'm like most of you out there, we've been through various brands of batteries over the years, and we've bought into the hype of duracell and others that are promoted through the advert on TV, and we've spent probably hundreds of £'s over our lives JUST on batteries that don't recharge, and we're doing the same now with crappy, but heavily hyped up on TV rechargeable batteries.Eneloop batteries are the ultimate rechargeable batteries on the market without question! For those who use Solar panels + battery banks to recharge your equipment, these eneloop bateries are certainly what you're looking for. I use Anker panels with the Portapow USB AA/AAA USB battery charger myself.

Eneloop batteries are the best on the market
These are nickle-metal-hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries which produce 1.2A of power.Eneloop batteries are designed to have a very low self-discharge. Older rechargeable batteries will self-discharge about 20% on the first day and about 5% per day after that. Eneloops still retain 80% of their charge after a year. They're great for LED torches, cameras and digital radios.Eneloops also have a higher capacity (measured in mAh) than many non-rechargeable batteries. The fact that they last longer and can be recharged makes them the best batteries on the market. They're Japanese and their quality is second to none. There are two main types of Eneloop battery - the black-coloured ones have a higher mAh capacity but will take fewer recharge cycles (~500), whilst the white-coloured ones have a lower mAh capacity but will take more recharge cycles (~2000). For example, people who work in the emergency services will probably want a higher mAh capacity so that their LED torches will last longer, and people who play video games will want higher mAh for their wireless controllers. The lower mAh capacity are more suited for cordless phones, TV remotes, or for people who don't use their torch or radio every day - e.g.,an emergency torch stored in a vehicle, kitchen or bedroom. In practical use, the black-coloured Eneloops last about 35%-40% longer between charges than the white-coloured Eneloops, but the white ones can be recharged 4 times more.Obviously you also need a good quality charger to get the most out of these batteries. There are a lot of different chargers on the market so shop around. Eneloop even sell a charger with batteries included. Personally I use the Ansmann 16+ charger - it's expensive, but probably the best there is. It's also huge! (Ansmann make smaller 8+ and 4+ versions.) The XTAR VC4 is also quite good and the Nitecore chargers work well too.

Much better than regular rechargeable batteries.
I am using these Sanyo Eneloop for a few years now end they are very good. They really do hold charge well . The reason I’m giving 4 stars because recently I purchased eight of them and when I run check three was about 20% below their stated capacity. They are still one of my favourite and i will use them in the future.
