Not too heavy so works for older people

I use these every morning to help maintain some strength in my arms (50 front lifts, 50 back lifts, all done fairly slowly). I bought a set for my neighbor recovering from hip surgery. She can lift her arms with these weights even while watching tv. The pretty color is an invitation!

I plan to hold these while playing xbox 360 kinect exercise games. I walked around the house while curling them for a minute, out of curiosity. The design and weight distribution make these fairly comfortable to hold. I do wish there were more options than pink for this weight and price.
