What a product!
As I've seen on here that the sound is tinny and there's no bass. I bought this to replace the ones that came with my z3 phone and if you put the equaliser on mdh720 they sound amazing there's enough bass on half volume to satisfy anyone! Also a very comfortable fit they stay in my ears even after rigours pulling, I would say 6 stars! Yeah that's right I added one, the price quality and packaging are brilliant for what you get. Highly highly recommended

Good quality, but quiet.
The sound quality is good, though they do not go very loud. If to be used while running/cycling/etc you may find the wind noise drowns them out.

Great cheap headphones for the money paid (Sony MDR-E9LP) !
Having purchases a selection of three cheap headphones from JVC, Panasonic and Sony for less than £15 in total , I would recommend these headphones as the best for £6.50. Already purchases a spare second pair.

Not Great, Not Bad
I wanted a cheap pair of earphones and came across this, seeing how it was from Sony I felt that it was going to be quite a good quality and durable pair of earphones.Sound Quality: is not great, it's average. It sounds flat and there's a lack of bass. Though this isn't much of a problem for me since I was aiming for a cheap pair and expected this.Build Quality: I can hear the wire from the right earphone moving, it's not much of a problem. You would need to focus on it to make it distract you. Though it makes me wonder if the headphones would last long.Ear Pads: Nice, though not needed. When it comes to comfortability I don't feel as if it makes a difference. Looks wise, I feel like it makes the earphones look better, also if you have trouble keeping earphones in your ear the (little) added thickness from the pads may help secure it in place. The pads obviously catch dust easily, so you would have to make sure you store them in the right place. It was a slight struggle at first to put the pads on, but I soon figured out how to and I managed to put them on easily. Because of the reasons I've mentioned about the pads I've kept my ear pads off.All in all I'm happy with the purchase and feel like £4.95 is reasonable pricing.

Good, simple, traditional wired earphones.
These are great, very happy to have them. Can't rate durability yet as have just got them but am hopeful they will last a long time.At one time most earphones were designed like this but now most are not.A lot of modern ones have the rubber tips that you have to push into your ear canal. However these ones are simple plastic ones that just fit in your ears, much more comfortable IMO, and allows you to retain some awareness of your environment. In addition, it seems like these days a lot of the wired earphones have a straight jack - which inevitably gets broken very rapidly. In contrast these ones have a 90 degree jack design which is usually much more durable in my experience.

Quite the worst earphones I've ever heard - bar none!
I'm not particularly fussy when it comes to headphones, and am somebody who tends to keep and use "freebie" earphones - the types you get given to listen to the commentary on open top bus tours, etc... However, I thought I'd buy some Sony ones as had one pair of Sony earphones at home that were excellent and thought I'd get another. These looked like pretty much the same things so I got them.... What a waste of money! I have NEVER heard worse sound for a pair of headphones/earphones from any source (including those freebie ones - all of which are far superior!). There is literally NO bass whatsoever, or depth to the sound - everything sounds like it's coming over AM radio or an old telephone. Terrible. "Tinny" is the only word that describes the sound. Perhaps it was a defective set - I don't know - but if they all sound like this then don't waste your time and money - buy something else (anything else! Or just go on an open top bus tour or flight and keep those instead). Sony should be ashamed of creating such a poor quality product. I'd have returned it but missed the returns window by one day... ah well, they will go in the recycling (I'm not even willing to keep them as a "spare" - waste of storage space!).

Fine but not brilliant
Good value for money. You get what you pay for. The sound is good and clear but a little too sharp in the upper range and lacking decent bass. Can't complain at the price and they are not the type to fall apart after a couple of months either.

To be fair
These Sony In-Ear Headphones are very small in sizes, and they keep falling out of my ears now I would have return them but my wife like them been small in size, also they don't have allot of bass to them if you are like me who like to listen to the dance club music they sound too tinny in my opinion, Sony is a good Brand name I only gave these headphones a 4 star because they are too small for me, but it not a product fault they are just made that way but to be fair these are nice Sony headphones if your ears are small and Compare price to product is fair.
