It should do what it says but the construction is poor. There is a non straight screw which means the plate of the shoe is not leveled and one has to force it inside the receiving part.Not worth returning so my husband had to rig out a way to use it.

Nice price
When you for some reason lack this type of mount and don't want to spend a fortune. I use it with a LED lightpanel 20x15cm so not that heavy but still works perfect to have to attach to a tripod. Funny how the light itself had no adaptor included though it is for camera it can also be used for tripod mounting.

Excellent product
Perfect for extra attachments that might not necessary have the right size of screw hole for when you want to mount it on a bracket such as having a light and the shotgun pro rode mic ! This is definitely two nice pieces to have in your bag.

Good for certain uses
Very basic and does the job. If your hot shoe mount does not have a tightening bolt then this is a waste of time as there is nothing to tighten the mount down with.

It lets you put a flashgun on a tripod
It's a small lump of metal. Screw hole in the base, flash hotshoe on top. No sharp edges. Good.
