Reusable Black Foam Filters for Respironics Duet LX, Bipap Pro, Synchrony, Synchrony-ST, and Harmony (6 Pack)

I purchased these filters after reading comments from other reviewers that the filters are larger than what is required by their CPAP machine. I use a Philips Respironics SystemONE CPAP, the delivered filter media is almost 4 times the size needed. If someone with really steady hands were to trim these filters a single order of 6 filters, could make as many as 24 filters! Compared to the item delivered by the medical supply company (which 1 filter costs $24 to insurance and $12 to me), it is the exact same media. SO using a pair of scissors is a no brainer! My hands are not that steady, so I was only able to get 2 filters out of the first single filter square, but even if I can only get 12 filters from this 6 filter package, I'm still saving $100's over using the local medical supply house!

While it does work as designed, it is not the same size nor number of items I expected.First, I ordered 5, not realizing it was a 6-pack (definitely my fault here for missing that detail).Second, each 6-pack comes with 6 bags - of which contain 2 filters each. Ok, not a bad thing to get more for the same price, but it would have been nice to know.Third, and most important, the filter is WAY larger than what comes in the Philips Respironcs CPAP. While it is the same thickness, it is NOT the same size. I can cut one filter into at least 6 pieces of the same size as the filter which comes in the Philips Respironics CPAP.So, all in all, 1 "6-pack" would probably last about 10 years.

Like another reviewer has written, these are large strips of foam. And you will have to cut them to size to fit your machine. And as was said, you do get 6 to a pkg. So if you don't mind cutting them down, or can have someone do it for you if you're not able, save some $ and buy these. If you can't bother with the cutting, then look elsewhere my friends.

I looked up my machine and these were recommended for it. These are much larger than what I needed for my machine though. I ended up cutting one down and it appears that I'll be able to get many of them in the right size after trimming. Great for the price, just a bit of work was needed, but they do work fabulously now that they're cut in to the right size.

It is a great fit for my machine and much cheaper than going to a medical place and getting them. I recommend it to everyone who has a machine. Especially if it is a resmed machine. You get more and pay a lot less.

When you first look at the package you think I've made a mistake. It's so much larger than your standard Foam Filter. Exactly twice as large. So you simply cut them in half & count your blessings!

As already noted, these require a quick trim to fit inside the rear compartment of a Philips CPAP. Outside of that, it meets all expectations; its a small piece of black foam. I haven't noticed any difference between the stock piece and this one, air still seems to move easily through it.
